Any 'porn' aimed at loving couples rather than singles males?

In a open minded exercise to revive a rather deflated love life I am thinking of buying some, for want of a better phrase, 'porn videos'. I have seen some many years ago but really wasn't comfortable with the way women were treated and didnt find them a turn on. Have things moved on? There must be a brand that aims itself at loving couples rather than sad lonely men? Or am I living in cloud cuckoo land?

Don't know sorry.

dunno....but am having an Ann Summers party very soon and they had some videos/dvds. Check out their website?

tammybear · 12/07/2004 20:07

my friend organises ann summer parties so i can ask her for you if you want

Northerner · 12/07/2004 20:08

I was going to suggest Ann Summers. We've got a great book of erotic stories with pictures from them suitable for couples so I'm sure they do videos too.

Jaxmum · 12/07/2004 20:22

Yeah, had a look at the AS site already, nothing grabbed my attention. What short story book you got out of interest Northerner?

Can't remember the name of it but I can find out for you (I'm at work at the mo)

If you have Sky, maybe you could watch a few of those adult channels to see whether you thought it was suitable before watching them together (just in case it's a load of rubbish).

All the porn films I have seen (and I am not an expert - honest!) have been horrendously cheesy or derisory in their attitude to women. I do remember reading about a female porn director who was trying to make porn films which were more appealing to a female audience - but, typically I can't remember what her name was (and don't particularly want to put "female porn" into google )

I'm thinking maybe something more along the lines of a non-porn but erotic type film - 9 1/2 weeks, The Hunger (dh is rather partial to the vampire lesbian sex scene in that film..and boy, would he kill me if he knew I had just posted that!)

spacemonkey · 12/07/2004 20:37

was it Candida Royalle moo? I've never seen any of her films but they are apparently porn films aimed at women (they're not lesbian films afaik)

spacemonkey · 12/07/2004 20:40

blimey o'reilly, i just found a video called ... "VIVA LA VULVA"

spacemonkey · 12/07/2004 20:40

and I quote ...

"Viva la Vulva features twelve vulvas of all ages, in all their glory, so prepare for intimate "vulva portraits." The video aims to celebrate women's genitals, and remove much of the stigma surrounding our views of what it's really like "down there". It helps women to value themselves, and to feel comfortable enough to begin to enjoy sex."

GUFFAW!

CountessDracula · 12/07/2004 20:41

oh god don't bother with the sky ones. Dh and I tried a couple one night and they were pathetic!

spacemonkey · 12/07/2004 20:46

didn't nancy friday write a couple of books on sexual fantasies - one of women's fantasies and one of men's?

or what about something like this ?

Thomcat · 12/07/2004 20:52

I've never seen porn as a male only thing. Am I the only one?
