How soon would you contemplate going away with a new partner?

We're both in our forties, known each other slightly for years and been dating for 2 months.

He'd like to go abroad for a weekend break.

Is it too soon? We've spent the night together but no longer. What's your experience?

I have a tendancy to worry and overthink!

Just take your VIPoo Smile

RiseandGrind · 15/06/2017 22:36

Emboo19 yes but the noises and smells tend to escape despite doors. Grin Plus, Ive stayed in many a foreign hotel with just a glass or saloon doors and in one instance, no door at all. Shock

Grin @ VIPoo!

Got together middle of the month. My birthday was the middle of the next month.

Given two tickets to Prague for the middle of the next month.

Now married with kids

I get what you mean about the bathroom. Our first holiday had a see through panel that separated the bathroom and bedroom. We just laughed about it at the time. Luckily it had a curtain to swish across. I made my DP sit on the balcony! I'm still not massively comfortable with going to a poo in a hotel room. Going away with a new DP is fun, without kids. We're still happy 8 months on and we're in our 50's.

We went skiing for a week in week 6 (but DH had been away with work for 3 weeks of those 6 weeks).

Another vote for vi poo !! It really does work !! Make a joke about it with him and leave it in there for him to use too ! You'll be glad you did !!! And it's an ice breaker about bathroom time !!!!
Have a fab time !!!

I would just presume that a) he is human and b) at 40 plus realises that everyone needs to use the loo.

To quote your OP I think you are worrying/overthinking.

Desmondo2016 · 16/06/2017 08:11

I have massive poo issues lol but the first night I stayed at his I got food poisoning after a meal out and that pretty much lost me all my dignity! 7 years later we're married with a baby!

RiseandGrind · 17/06/2017 16:59

Oh Desmondo - poor you!

I always tried to take a road trip or some kind of travel very early one...three weeks once. I found I could learn a lot about the other person very quickly and also see how compatible we were.
