Am I being lightly stalked or is it just me

Lately I've had a few withheld number calls. Thought its just PPI stuff so ignored. But I recently received calls starting at 2pm and repeating nearly every hour until 10pm when I thought it can't be PPI. On answering I heard someone breath then nothing. I waited a minute then I hung up.
So to cut a story short I had a text/phone relationship for a year then a few nice dates on the last one she turned a bit odd and a day later I was told to leave her alone, so I did. This was about 9 months ago I thought nothing of it but my family said I bet its her (there is a fair bit to her). I hadn't really thought it but I had a quick look using a friends social media and found she recently set her social media pic to a characterised portrait that I drew of her.
Maybe its purely coincidental but the phone call was a bit surprising. Do women actually do this sort of stuff after so long?

btw, Monkey, do you know about twitter? would people who look at your page most also appear on your feed most often?

Hard to say, but if it's repeated every hour for that many hours, it could be a robocall, an unwanted sales call. A computer will call dozens of numbers and will connect only the one who answers first (anyone they can reach quickly enough). I think it was pure coincidence.

Sorry..i don't know about Twitter

RalphMalph · 30/04/2017 14:09

Hi, well to clear a few things up. The call was to my mobile.
I don't use social media myself I asked a mate to search for her after my family mentioned her as a possible cause.
The call was for a minute before i hung up and nothing was said after I said hello a couple of times. It was at 21:30 or 22:00 which seems late for PPI and the call seems too long for a verify the number is valid call.
My family mentioned her in part as they know a lot more details about the lady than I really want to discuss but let's say she has suffered.
It just struck me as odd. Sure I get a lot of junk calls but never one so late and none that lasted so long prompting me to hangup and subsequently mention it to family and friends for advice.

Not worth spending time on it, but just in case take a screen shot of the log showing the number of incoming calls. If it continues you might want to have that information. Then forget about it.

Did you dial 1471 to see if there was a number?

RalphMalph · 30/04/2017 17:22

Its a modern mobile smartphone so the number is displayed on receiving a call. 1471 is not needed. The number had been withheld. The event seem coincidental to me. I am not particularly worried I'd be very hard to find as my online footprint is tiny. I am more amused and curious. Besides which I'm an easy going person and I have personally never conveyed that I can't be contacted to anyone so whoever it was should of just spoke.

I definitely think it's the outgoing call thing as mentioned up thread - i get this all the time. If they are in a different part of the world theres every chance youd get them at weird times, too.
