a question for those who have been married / in a relationship for years and years, have kids and are still mad about each other:

did you go through rough times? and how bad were they?

we're going through a bit of a bad patch and i'm sure it's partly due to pnd. i don't want to start ttc until we sort out our relationship. want to believe that in 20 years we'll still be in love, even though it doesn't feel like it now.

Been married 32 years, going out together and engaged another 7 years.

Rough times? You bet your boots. If I had a fiver for everytime I've thought about leaving him I'd be a wealthy woman.

I once took my 3 Dc's to my Mums, the youngest was only 6 months old, and said "thats it I'm not going back"

My Mum said "well perhaps not tonight but you WILL go back tomorrow"

Of course after a good nights sleep, helped with a strong brandy from Mum I did go back and here I am still.

Rough times are part of married life, I always have a little smile when I hear the phrase "we've never had a cross word" How boring that must be I think.

Yes I am, most of the time. We have our ups and downs, he drives me mad sometimes.

But and it's a big but, I'd trust him with my life, he'd never hurt me, and most importantly, I know he loves me.
