DH viber snapchat messenger apps

I've put this in chat but haven't had any replies - I've found out my DH has downloaded these apps & they are now deleted. He says he doesn't remember downloading them but may have done it if someone at work mentioned them. He was really defensive but now has gone quiet. Why would he use these? I've not used them so no idea how they work.

It's simplistic to assume that a defensive response is a sign of guilt. It's not rocket science to identify that people react to these kind of situations in different ways.

Viber is a encrypted and a secure form of online messaging. It can be to stop someone having access to chat, as there is a secret message option.. it also allows wifi calling I believe, but any iPhone over 5c upwards does this too.

there is another app called Sure Spot that is extremely secure. If. Photographs are shared they are 'locked' so they can't be reused by anyone at all.

Viber is a commonly used chat app a bit like WhatsApp.

Sorry for going missing guys - was talking to him as he's working today.

The reason I asked him was we have an old iPad I was deleting everything off to sell as we no longer use it. Those apps were on there, so I asked him if he knew what they were for or needed them. He said he didn't know what they were. Knowing that apps don't usually just appear, I asked if he was sure. He told me to look in his phone if I don't believe him. I said there's no need, but he said 'go on look'. I did, I found them on his App Store as downloaded.

He still denies using them. I've suggested maybe someone at work recommended them & he forgot, but he says he just doesn't recognise them.

If his phone and iPad are connected it would show up on his phone, they sync together!

They should have a date on them when they downloaded.

And when I'm playing games ( cooking dash) my fat thumbs hit the ads which take me to the App Store, I have the thumb print as password and it starts the download. Which shows up in my apps having been downloaded.

I never got the if they act defensive they are guilty. Ive seen on here if the person in question is cool and laughs it off is guilty and too keep your eyes peeled. So which is it?

I've reset the iPad KungFu so can't see when they were downloaded on there.

I wasn't trying to make a big thing of it, but I suppose the alarm bells started when they were all messaging apps.

He know every other app he has downloaded - we went through them...

Knows not know - that's my fat fingers!

Well, I'm with you - it's a bloody big coincidence that he recognises every app on there apart from these 3, which are all messaging apps Hmm

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 14/04/2017 17:52

iTunes account on the laptop will tell you download date and time.

SparklingRaspberry · 14/04/2017 18:03

OP you can't get whatsapp on iPads so I'm not sure your explanation is true.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with these apps. I don't see the issue.

Ellisandra · 14/04/2017 18:22

Other posters mentioned WhatsApp.
Thread title is only viber, Snapchat and messenger.

Ellisandra · 14/04/2017 18:23

And there's nothing wrong with the apps themselves.
There is potentially something wrong with have 3 messaging apps deleted from your phone that you claim not to know what they are when every other app you do Hmm

thiscannotbewhatithinkitis · 14/04/2017 18:33

Sparkling I never mentioned whatsapp - that's the app we use if we don't use usual text. Thank you for your post though.

Ellisandra you were on the button earlier!
