On line dating recommendations

Hi... not sure I'm posting in right place and have namechanged due to info I'm about to give but... I'm early 40's, divorced for over 3 years based in north Cumbria and want to get more proactive about meeting someone for a relationship so thought I would give on line dating a try... there seem to be so many sites, where would you recommend I start?!! If possible want to avoid those with lots of sleeze etc! Thanks in advance

I met my wonderful DP on Muddy matches. Its a site that focuses on people who love the countryside and fitted me perfectly. We were friends for over 2 years first and have been properly together for about 6 months. I also have a relative who met her long term partner on it. It is about £30 a month I think but I thought it was worth it.

People who say things like this are usually people who have not used it.

itsgoodtobehome yeh, I wouldn't worry about statistics either, as I know that if I did marry somebody I met online, my judgement is better now than it ever has been, my self-esteem is better, and I really don't feel much social pressure to marry now, unlike when I was 30. So I feel statistics don't apply to me because they include well, other people!
