After quite literally months of misery with DH, things have improved so much!

It all started on the Monday before Valentines Day. DH mentioned something about going out (halfheartedly, I might add) so grunted at him that this was a good idea. Wasn't really interested tbh, his lack of enthusiasm slightly putting me off.

Anyway, was feeling terrible by Valentines Day, ended up going into hospital with suspected asthma attack and told that it was asthma, but also sinusitis in one side of my face. Felt dreadful for the rest of the week until Friday, DH announces that he has arranged with MIL to come round and babysit so we can go out on Saturday. He was acting far more excited by now, which was beginning to rub off on me.

So, despite feeling like crap on Saturday, I thought I would make an effort and get ready to go out with him. MIL duly turned up, but in the meantime DH has copped a strop and is getting annoyed. Started to feel like just going back to bed. Couldn't face the thought of a night out with him in a mood, plus I was feeling awful.

Anyway, he took me to St. Katherine's Dock in London. We had a nice drink in a pub there and then went for a curry! Don't laugh! This was a big thing for me, as I was a bit scared of eating curry (I don't do spices) and was a bit nervous that I would hate it and be ill. Anyway, the meal was lovely, he was lovely and it was the nicest night I have had in years.

The love in continues today. DH is laying in bed, I fell asleep on the sofa watching late night telly. Went in to see him this morning and we ended up all snuggled up. It was lovely and sooooo overdue.

Sorry if this has made you feel sick by now, but this is such a big thing for us! Feels like it is getting back to the way it used to be when we first got together all them years ago!

It's lovely isn't it, my DH and I usually have a phase like that about once a year, like falling in love again.

LostMe · 19/02/2007 20:17

My phase must be due soon then - fingers crossed!!!!!!!

That's so sweet lazylou, nice to know it's not all doom and gloom! Think me and my dp have a way to go before we get back there but good to know it's possible. Thanks for the inspiration
