Nah, said in the context of a relate session, it just means that he feels dwarfed by your intelligence.

My understanding is that calling somebody a "pseudo" anything means that they're faking that particular quality. I think I'd be a little insulted.

Yes, it was our first session. It was quite funny. I'm not offended by his insults anymore cos I can see them as desperate, childish attempts to get the upper hand by upsetting me.
