Hi everyone
There was a thread about a DP who'd become secretive with his phone and was doing a work training thing and wore a suit and tie, and ran to get there 45 mins early ... the thread now has been deleted. Does anyone know what happened? I'm worried it was the OP's worst case scenario or things went really bad. Confused

Oh ffs.

I fell for this Shock

BillyDaveysDaughter · 30/10/2016 21:13

Ha I thought it was too average to be a troll...

Longislandicetee · 30/10/2016 21:16

I am so naive. I thought it was real!!Blush

MemyselfandI123 · 30/10/2016 21:16

No way do people really do that, set up another profile and reply to themself ? Oh my God that's hilarious
Sad bastards.

MemyselfandI123 · 30/10/2016 21:20

All joking aside, it's really very sinister, luring people in to spill their personal experiences, and people get emotionally invested.
I know some are probably blatantly obviously fake as they are so outlandish but this one seemed plausible to me.

Ginslinger · 30/10/2016 21:22

I am so sick of trolls - I may have to have a flounce in flouncers corner but where would I go after that?

SarahAnderson · 30/10/2016 21:51

what do you mean research? Research for what?

hoddtastic · 30/10/2016 21:52

there's a current very very fishy one that ticks all boxes for SETTING ALIGHT but MNHQ are all over it, deleting the mildest thing.

FishyWishies · 30/10/2016 21:58

hod, is SETTING ALIGHT a clue?

AnyFucker · 30/10/2016 21:59

I hardly bother with all the generic "I trust my H but < insert something really fucking dodgy> I don't know what to doooooo" crock of shit threads these days

I feel so stupid. I actually believed that poster.
It did seem a bit far fetched, bit I believed it

areyoubeingserviced · 30/10/2016 22:01

But

laurenandsophie · 30/10/2016 22:02

Oh wow, people doing that is pretty pathetic. But also very annoying. Angry

Me and DH discussed that one last night... He just said she was barking... I guess his radar was kinda right. I however did wonder the outcome of that one ... Fool

Am going to ask silly question about sock-puppeting.... when I read MN, the OP's posts are all in pink and mine are in brown. So I can see very clearly which are the OP's posts. So if they name change, then I would be able to see that very clearly - still in pink. If so, what is the point of sock-puppeting as it is v. difficult to hide that you are a different person?

AnyFucker · 30/10/2016 22:16

if you use a different account (email address) then socky posts do not show as the op's colour

FurryLippedSquid · 30/10/2016 22:17

How sad ....

AnyFucker · 30/10/2016 22:18

indeed

MyWineTime · 30/10/2016 22:19

It doesn't work like that Furry. If someone namechanges during the thread, their posts aren't in the OP's colour.
There are good reasons for that.
