I read once that after having a baby (dd 13 months), your boobs aren't smaller, they're just 'thinner'. Well mine are like flat balloons and I hate it. I've also lost all feeling - lovely. Any ideas? Within reason...

By the way, stopped breast feeding 8 months ago. Come on - wrack your brains, I look like a boy dressed up as a girl..

Get some chicken fillets and a decent push-up bra.

NotAnOtter · 10/02/2007 15:44

give it time they do get better

Siane · 10/02/2007 15:46

How much time? Feel very low. DH being lovely but flipping stepson (17)taking the piss all the time and don't know why it hurts but it does...probably because I think his Dad agrees but is too kind.

Oh Siane - can't you get DH to read DSS the riot act?

Then buy aforementioned push-up bra and a couple of lovely tops.

Siane · 10/02/2007 19:24

I will. Thank you. Have got the nice bras and tops etc, but just miss my old boobs. Plus miss having any sensation. Want someone to suggest the magic cure but know that there can't be one or they'd be a millionaire...But if anyone has any suggestions..someone said drinking beer helps?

OP posts:
jenwa · 10/02/2007 20:09

ohhh I will get on the beer too then!!!

I breast fed for only 5 weeks and they are thin too, cant say saggy as not big enough too sag but just not as firm as they were. Someone told me to not breast feed next time and that helps. Otherwise I really dont know the solution!

Posh spice's are good and according to her its all natural!!!! WHATEVER!!!!
I think money is the only cure!

DarrellRivers · 10/02/2007 20:12

You could always get pregant again, works wonders in the breast department.
Sorry no magic solution

hoolagirl · 10/02/2007 20:17

No magic solution im afraid. I think I heard that it can take up to 4 years for your boobs to be as recovered as they're going to be.
I waited 2 and then got implants they were so bad like long flaps of skin.
Just go for the chicken filets, they are good too.

Stiller · 10/02/2007 20:25

Posh Spice's boobs are natural???? Don't believe a word of it!

My only child is 5 now and I didn't breast feed but my boobs are still pants - and I'm only 30! I'm hoping to lose weight this year too, so they'll probably look like banana skins soon.

Get yourself a good bra and don't ever take it off I'm really considering surgery as I'm single and can't imagine ever letting any bloke look at them - surely he'd run off.

indiajane · 10/02/2007 20:36

Mine have turned into tear drops - everything hanging down and the left is bigger than the right one - by loads. Plus stretch marks all across the top of them.

At least I can drink beer now - for medicinal reasons.

Have you lost feeling all over or just on the nipples?

jenwa · 10/02/2007 20:39

yesterday I found a pic -embarrasing but when I was pregnant I sent a pic msg to my DH of my boobs as they were massive-
it made me smile though but then depressed as I look at them now and they are deflated!!! I am 30 too and not impressed! They were never big but wish they were like they were when pregnant.

Will wait until next baby then maybe opt for surgery!!! Need an extension in house first so thats priority!

BuffysMum · 10/02/2007 20:40

If I could afford surgery I would - I hate mine they are horrid, flat, non-existent. I always way ultimo gel filled bras!

Hillary · 10/02/2007 20:41

same here!

Mine are like deflated baloons

chicken fillets are good but look silly cos ther's nothing on top so when you wear a lowish top you can blatently tell. My mum told me mine were so bad I'd get it done free on the NHS Thanks Mum

CountTo10 · 10/02/2007 20:54

I use push up bras and chicken fillets which helps but I have also started using a cream from Avon daily that has helped my skin in that area get back some of its firmness. I always view things like that a bit cynically but I have to say I was very impressed by it. I'm not saying its got my boobs back to where they were, but it has improved them somewhat!!! My friend who recommended it uses it too and swears by it!!! If you haven't got an avon rep you can buy it direct from their website.

Stiller · 10/02/2007 21:01

Aww Hilary you're mum is cruel - but I did laugh.

I can't imagine that there are any creams out there that will sort my boobs out. They aren't that big, but just so so so heavy. I NEED surgery.

Actually DS made me laugh yesterday. He was telling me about his teachers at school and he couldn't remember one of their names. He described her as the one with really big boobs, then corrected himself and said 'actually they are very long boobs' PMSL

Its like when we were breastfeeding our babies sucked out more than just milk

lou33 · 10/02/2007 21:35

yes , but from the place we want to keep the fat!

hunkeydorey · 10/02/2007 21:40

OOh mine are like this, I hate it. In fact mine are hollow in places, my nipples sort of fall into them. I gave up breast feeding about 4 mths ago, so I'm hoping they will improve. I'm also single and to be honest, the sight of them is enough to keep me single.

Hillary · 10/02/2007 22:49

Yep I'm single too and to be honest I would be far too embarrased to have it any other way. My babies got bigger tits than me

Boob jobs all round then I think!

bellarosa · 11/02/2007 00:01

I saw these wierd suction things in a dodgy magazine once!
Apparently they will suction them back into shape!

but you have to wear them for about 6 months!

Siane · 11/02/2007 18:08

I saw those then saw a programme that said they didn't work after all! Someone told me - after trying it herself - that Gillian McKeith's Wonder food works but am sceptical, think she's an idiot.
Anyone out there who just waited and got their own boobs back?
Indiajane - lost feeling on the nipples, totally. When DH is 'on them' he might as well have his chops round my elbow for all the good it does me. Particularly gutted as that used to be enough to almost do it for me if you get my drift...

If this is severely affecting your life (which for some people it can destroy) go and see your gp. If he/she agrees (and if they don't go and see others til you get sympathetic one) that this is severely affecting you mentally you get on a wait list to see a consultant who if he/she agrees may operate. This is not free cosmetic surgery on the NHS and will take a long time but if it is destroying your life ultimately you could get an op (e.g. Nikki in big brother..etc perhaps not a great example but I know a number of girls at school and in their 20's who had reductions and increases on NHS done as ruining their lives). Worth a try.

Siane · 11/02/2007 19:11

Hi Meb2006,
It's not that bad and I don't want surgery. Thank you all the same. I just feel a bit low at the moment and would probably go as far as taking a supplement or buying a cream. To be honest, I just want someone to say it'll sort itself out but actually think it may not so probably just need to pull myself together. I had ivf to get preggers and reacted badly to the hormones, have PCOS and endometriosis anyway which makes me a hormonal nightmare and recently started (then aborted due to problems) a new round of ivf. I think when the drugs leave my body and I plateau out I'll feel better. Just want to know that at the end of all this I'll feel and look like myself.
Need to have a word with myself I suppose. At least the ivf worked for me so I'm very, very lucky really.
