"Old people don't snog" - true or false?

Sorry, I know it's almost a TAAT... It's not actually about the other thread, it's just picking up one comment made to me.
I have examples of some people I know who still snog (e.g. my sister after 20 years of her relationship)
A poster called me a liar Confused

Apparently old people don't snog, and if they kiss it's a peck on the cheek and they certainly don't do it in public.

I'm PMSL.

So, please share with me your granny snogging stories. No lies though please people!

Me, I'm 41 and regularly snog my 52yo fiancé, sometimes... in public!!! ShockGrin

So any really old people on here want to admit to not have withered up completely?

Grin

Does 44 count as old? Dh and I still snog currently (and in the middle of the park too!) Is there a cut off point? Will we be required to stop soon? Confused

mogloveseggs · 30/06/2016 20:12

Dm and her husband can often be found canoodling in the kitchen. They're 67.

Somerville · 30/06/2016 20:14

Canoodle is better than french kiss or snog. I love a canoodle.

pinkandsparklytoo · 30/06/2016 20:16

I'm 31 and my husband is 38. No snogging going on here. Shock

Cabrinha · 30/06/2016 20:17

Oh a canoodle
Yes.
I'm going dreamy eyed.
Or is that rheumy eyed? As I'm old Grin

Yes we are both 55 and snogging inevitably leads to ......something else (not on a park bench though)

notagiraffe · 30/06/2016 20:25

DH and I snog all the time. And he is nearly 60!

Mirandawest · 30/06/2016 20:30

DP and I snog. To the disgust of all our children. We are 40 and 44

apintofharpandapacketofdates · 30/06/2016 20:39

I love a good 'court' as we sometimes say in NI...
Sadly for me my exDH didn't, and there's no one on the horizon...

Makes me sad. Time wasted, poor odds of moving on with a new DP Blush

MeganBacon · 30/06/2016 20:43

58 and 61. Still do everything we ever used to. More carefully perhaps.

mogloveseggs · 30/06/2016 20:44

36 and 38 here. Often to be found canoodling. Dd 11 thinks it's gross but ds 4 always wants to get in the middle Grin

Eliza22 · 30/06/2016 20:47

54 and 59. We're "past it" then? Never have snogged in public. Yuck! There's no need.

We're still touchy feely and kiss in our home....but then we've only been together 11 years.

Though in fairness I can't stand the miserable bastard........"

Owllady
it's just disgusting and it means, well it means you and dad must have done it. I mean, how many times HAVE you done it?
God knows, thousands, maybe millions

Grin Grin Smile

This thread is both very funny and uplifting. A welcome break from all the referendum arguements on here.

I'm 36 (and getting less action than you anyway!) and my granparents have been dead for over 15 years, my mother who is 69 now has been a widow for over 25 years with no new man ever. So I don't have personal examples of this going on.

But of course I know it does and damn right I hope it does for me as I get older. This thread is a good two fingers to the ageist crap that has been dished out recently. Smile

Eliza22 · 30/06/2016 20:50

54 and 57. NOT 59! Thing is, you never feel older in your head do you, so why wouldn't you?

Somerville · 30/06/2016 21:00

Arf at rheumy eyed canoodling.

I allow snogging in public but only in the city my chap lives in, not in the one I live in. double standards

bookbook · 30/06/2016 21:02

Married 40 years - me 60 , DH 64 - yep, we still snog,( but not in company) and we canoodle on the settee too :) and hold hands down the street. And skip to embarrass kids if they happen to be with us...( though now grown and flown, so not much opportunity nowadays).

DidyouseeEthel · 30/06/2016 22:01

I'm 48 and DH is 58, we snog many times a day (only been married a year). I wouldn't snog in public though.

Redisthenewblack · 30/06/2016 22:09

I love this thread.

Sallystyle · 30/06/2016 22:16

I am not much of a snogger.

My 40 ancient husband would love to snog more. He is great at it but I have issues with it and end up freezing... a bit of a long story that came about when I was a late teen.

We do however kiss a lot, sensually, more like lingering slower suckier pecks. Sucking lips I love to do, love a good lip suck!

Sallystyle · 30/06/2016 22:18

Where is the other thread?

apintofharpandapacketofdates · 01/07/2016 16:54

What's 'old' anyway? My kids think in old....

fourquenelles · 01/07/2016 17:05

60 here. It's quite sweet really that every generation thinks they invented sex.

fourquenelles · 01/07/2016 17:06

^^ it (grammar pendant) doh!

apintofharpandapacketofdates · 01/07/2016 17:32

40.... Trying not to panic at the thought of never having the opportunity to embarrass my kids like that Wink
