I'm fuming,

I suffer from bad migraines which come and go, I can go for a few months with none but they'll come on all of a sudden and stay for a week or so.

Anyway this week it started a few days ago, I don't go out much when I have them as if they come on in the street I can't function properly. The doctor gave me some painkillers for them, I had 4 left, doctors surgery is miles away so I decided to just not take any during the day and save them for tonight so I can get some sleep. Anyway I've just gone to get some as its getting quite bad and they've all gone, I asked DH who said he'd had a bit of a headache today so he has had all 4 I'm so angry, he always does this, Last year he used all my hayfever tablets when he hardly gets hayfever at all (I get it really badly), when I was suffering with flu he used all my flu tablets when he felt a sniffle coming on and when I developed a horrible, chesty cough he drank my couch medicine because "his throat was feeling a bit tender".

Why does he do this? it's like he can't bear me to have any medication to myself, everytime I get ill he uses my medicine, why would he do this? My mum thinks its a method of control but i just dont know.

What are they? If they are prescription he shouldn't be taking them anyway! Maybe its a case of man-flu coming on.

HIde them in future.

Some are prescription and others are just counter ones. I would think man flu if it was just the once but its everytime I get medicine for something. Even when I got some gel for my muscles he used that saying his leg had been giving him bother.

Put them in packets for period pain tablets -surely he can't get that!

Get loads of laxatives. See if he nicks them.

PersonalClown · 19/01/2007 21:02

Sod that...swap all plls over for the laxitives. That'll teach him.

PersonalClown · 19/01/2007 21:03

*pills even.

He obviously has got some kind of thing about it - probably subconscious.

When he was little I bet he was jealous of a siclkly sibling for getting all the attention, or something, and he has to get a piece of the action. Outrageous behaviour though. You can either have it out with him seriously, or up the ante. Time to have yourself some feminine ills like thrush (big pot of bio yoghurt for smearing on your bits), cystitis and itchy nips. Get all the medications in and explain carefully explain to him what each is for, and see what he does! Also agree that you can protect the stuff you really need by swapping the pills in the packets - laxatives maybe a bit harsh, I'd be tempted to put a total placebo in (eg vitamin pills) and then after he's nicked them ask him if they worked, before revealing the truth.
