How many times have you been married?

Never thought I would be getting divorced for a 2nd time as I was in 2 minds about marriage a second time, but I wanted the happy ever after (married both my kids dads) and thought it would work out (as you do) I'm only late 30s and feeling there might be a stigma surrounding being twice married/divorced at a young age.
Thinking never again now..

Once. Met DH in 1993, got married in 2009, still together. I'm very happily married but never really wanted to get married. It was just so that I shared a name with DCs and for legal / financial protection for all of us.

Once. Been with DH 7 years, married for 6 months with 4 DC. I don't believe in happily ever afters, it just made sense for us as I'm now a SAHM.

My mother is on marriage #7 Shock although she's been married to #7 for about 22 years this year. She married #1 at 19 & #7 in her mid 30's. I'm her only child. My Dad has only been married the once.

Once, have been married for 15 years. I was 29 and DH 36 when we got married.

Once. It's lasted 26 years so far, so I reckon we're in it for the long haul.

Never married and I'm 49. That said, DP and I have been together for 23 years so ....

He's been married before and never wanted to do it again, but earlier this year he asked me and I said yes (las much for the security as much as anything else).

So next year when I'm 50 I'll be getting hitched. Not relevant to thread, but will definitely not be changing my name.

Hope to grow old and crinkly with each other.
I however ponder that the concept of marriage for life was formed when we didn't live so long.
A 20 year old getting married now is promising maybe 80 years to the other party that is a bloody long time.

Three times. Divorce Widowed Divorced. Agree with you about the stigma...but as I have got older I care less about the opinion of others. Just be happy.

Had my second divorce at age 28 and third marriage age 31. Pretty sure this one'll stick. Hope springs eternal! Being twice divorced did not seem to negatively impact my dating ability.

Married at 18, divorced at 26 and married again at 28 (married last week) this time I am married to my best friend of about 12 years so will be very surprised if it doesn't last.

I would have liked to get married, tbh. But not just for the sake of getting/being married, IYSWIM.

Never dreamed about the Big White Wedding - really not my thing. But would have liked a life partner.

First time 18 yrs - divorced
2nd 10 yrs so far....
DH - first (shot gun wedding at 18 - different times) 2 yrs
Second 13 yrs

I am the current Mrs Marilyn's ...third time lucky as they say...

Once - will be 10years this summer. We married stupidly young (I was 23) and have both admitted times when we didn't want to be anymore but we've stuck with each other so far and currently in a really good place.

Im not entirely convinced in forever relationships to be honest, no idea if I even want to grow old and wrinkly with the same person but we have 2 DC, parent well together and make each other happy so this is us for now.

If we ever split or I was widowed I don't think I'd remarry but have absolutely no judgement on 2 or 3 divorces. More than that I want to say I wouldn't judge but I'd prob be a bit Hmm

My father has been divorced 6 times at last count, twice by the same woman! I am NC with him so this could have very well gone up recently.

I almost got married at 19 but didn't go ahead in the end, good job as it would have definitely ended in a messy divorce. If the messy breakup at 21 was anything to go by.

Three times. I instigated the divorces each time.

Ds's father was my fourth relationship. I am a single parent.

I much prefer no relationship it is far less hassle!

Once, married at 24 and still together nearly 12 years later. I'm very lucky though and he's a good one!
