dh and i split up in the March and divorced by following January-no children so very straight forward

As far as I know you have to cite un reasonable behavior or adultery to get a quick divorce. Everything else takes 2 years separation before a decre is granted.

If you go for unreasonable behaviour of adultery, you can be divorced within 6 months.

Filed for divorce on grounds of unreasonable behaviour sept '06 decree nisi issued 20/12, so absolute will be in feb 07

haven't used solicitor as we came to an agreement re finance and money. I went in person to the court to file docs, swear affadavit etc

someone told me you can get a quick divorce "online" for £40
