How do I come to terms with dh not wanting another child?

When I do?

We have 2, we are nearly 40. I can't force him, don't want to guilt trip him, would never trick him. There is no compromise. How do I come to terms with it?

Crazyhead, a pinch of not having a daughter for me, too. Just a pinch, because another son would be so loved (& 70-30 likely I think). And yes about this phase being over.

Also a family of four feeling small bc of growing up in a larger one (6/7 of us at home as I grew up).

But yes, I am very, very lucky to have any children.
