Sisters boyfriend

my sister has been seeing a bloke for around a year now, he seems nice enough and they seemed good together but she told me he'd started being funny with the kids, being snappy and bad tempered, I told her this would worry me and she should be careful.
Anyway last night she invited us around for tea and he was there, again he seemed very friendly, everything was fine. At one point her 7 year old son came walking in with a pillow stuck up his jumper, I didnt get it at first until sisters boyfriend told him to pack it in and take it out, my nephew said that his mum had told him to do it and at this point I heard her roaring with laughter from in the hallway, she'd actually sent him in like that to take the mick out of this mans weight! , I told him it wasnt nice and gave sis a 'look' and she couldnt stop laughing. A few minutes later her 5 year old came running in with a wet sponge and squeezed it over the blokes trousers, again sister was in hysterics encouraging them, the man was obviously starting to get annoyed, her 7 year old then dived on him and started squeezing his neck (disguised as a cuddle but this man was asking him to stop as it was hurting), the 5 year old then jumped on his shoulders and wrapped his legs around his neck! as he fell backwards onto the sofa he stuck his toes in this mans eyes to catch his balance.

I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing, sister had tears strolling down her face, in the end the poor bloke had to stand up just to keep the kids off him.

She thinks its hillarious even today but Im worried that this bloke is going to snap and hurt one of them, even without this surely the kids should be discouraged from what ammounts to bullying or am I over-reacting??

Dunno what else to say really.

I am shocked that someone would teach children to tease others. It doesn't set a very good example of the correct way to behave.

Ditto VVV.

I think he has the patience of a saint to hang around being treated as the butt of someone's joke. Your sister is behaving incredibly badly - is she really surprised that he's bad tempered if she gets the children to bully him like this?

If she's teaching her children to treat people like this, there is every chance that they will bully other children as well - and other children might not react quite so placidly as your sister's partner.

To be honest your sister sounds rather strange, and in his shoes I would have been long gone.

What a vile woman your sister is.

i would advise this man to leave asap. it is bad enoug that she thinks that this behaviour is funny but for her to teach her children to it is just disgusting.

i am also stunned that she behaved like that in fron t of people. her poor boyfriend must have felt humiliated.

sorry but she sounds like a very nasty piece of work

Apologies if the OP is genuine.

But...

Am i the only one who laughed all the way through reading this post esp. 'the 5 year old then jumped on his shoulders and wrapped his legs around his neck! as he fell backwards onto the sofa he stuck his toes in this mans eyes to catch his balance'.

mylittlestar · 09/01/2007 11:27

daft question but what do you mean by troll?!! i'm new!

Carmenere · 09/01/2007 11:31

A troll on a internet forum is someone who is making up a story for whatever reason. Maybe to be malicious or maybe just for attention(as this one seems to be, v odd imo).
Welcome btw
