Petty but annoying

I suffer from claustrophobia so shopping is a nightmare, last week we went to the sales and DH made it 100 times worse than it needed to be, when shops are crowded he will insist on standing in peoples way being gormless or he'll fight his way to a rail only to hold up a tiny mini skirt and say "what about this?" for a laugh...he just gets in peoples way all the time, he doesn't seem to realise that his little jokes etc are just pissing people off.

Yesterday we went to tesco which was packed again and he spent the entire time willying around picking things up saying stuff like "what about this for the kids hehe" (something like vindaloo powder) or he'll rush over to something that is stupidly expensive which nobody likes and hold it up getting in peoples way etc saying "that's not bad...?" and again people get pissed off and usually just push him out of the way.

Now he's saying he wants to go shopping tomorow around town again, how do I tell him to stop being an idiot in shops without hurting his feelings?? I can't stand another shopping trip where he's constantly walking around with his willy hanging out Ill end up punching him (or punching whoever pushes him out of the way!).

sunnywong · 06/01/2007 13:58

and I would guess, from experience, that your AF is due in about 36 hours

can you not loose him in Dixons and then go back for him

lulumama · 06/01/2007 13:59

seriously, if he is walking around in public with his tackle you, he would be arrested.

Saturn74 · 06/01/2007 13:59

Shop online.

lulumama · 06/01/2007 14:00

lulumama · 06/01/2007 14:01

swifter · 06/01/2007 14:02

PinkTulips · 06/01/2007 14:04

Belgianchox · 06/01/2007 14:08

Really? his willy hanging out?

Suger · 06/01/2007 17:31

No his willy wasnt really hanging out, that's just an expression I use for dopeyness.

He is only trying to have a laugh but he's annoying with it, he gets in peoples way, wastes time faffing and basically just makes an arse of himself, he does it at the till too, tries to have a laugh with the till woman when a) she can't be arsed and b) there is a huge queue.

Oh Suger... they ALL do that It's sooo embarrassing.

fireflyfairy2 · 06/01/2007 17:39

I'd say you're just annoyed at him. Me & Dh go shopping together sometimes & he does things like that too. Holds up a dress or summat I would never wear and yell "What about this for Saturday night?" Usually I just smile or laugh.. unless I am pre-menstrual.

Give him a break. sounds to me like he's trying to make you smile

Did the fluffy slippers flush?

Suger · 06/01/2007 17:50

I wouldn't mind him doing it if the shops were not so full but after 4 or 5 tuts and mucky looks from other people it starts to grate on me.

The fluffy slippers were ruined, after they got all wet and he wouldn't tell me how (or unconfirm the toilet thing) I couldnt wear them, he's now going to buy me some that do not make him laugh as much.
