dh left at 11am this morning,to go & collect MIL & bring her back to stay for a few days.It is a 5 hour round trip on a good day & as MIL won't drive or use public transport to get here,dh has to go.

He rang me from some services about 2 hours ago, saying that the traffic was hell & that they were both starving & could I have dinner ready for when they get here.A mild curry would be nice!

So,as he has taken the car & we are a 12 mile round trip from the nearest shops,I have to try & magic up a curry & use my psychic powers to devine when they are due to arrive.Plus dd2 is ultra clingy, very tired & won't leave me alone, has taken off her clothes continually & weed on both me & MIL's room.

We have run out of bread & milk too,so when they do get here,I will have to go out again to buy supplies.

Oh,my blood pressure is sky high.

Maybe you could get dd2 to wee in the 'mild curry'. A nice variation of spitting in it... ;) You have my sympathy...!

LIZS · 27/12/2006 18:10

LoveMyGirls · 27/12/2006 18:50

LoveMyGirls · 27/12/2006 18:51

They arrived just as I finished typing.I found a jar of curry sauce in the cupboard & used that.(The takeaways don't deliver to us as we are to far away).

She ate about 2 mouthfuls & then said she wasn't hungry.Arghhh!

She plans to go home on Saturday. I had already agreed to see some friends before this visit was planned & dh said that he couldn't see why I still couldn't see them on Sat as I'd already arranged it & he was taking her home that day.

However MIL says that SIL is arranging a huge kids party for Saturday & wanted us all to go back up with her to attend. We have spent 5 hours in the car with 2 under 3's before to go to these parties for an hour or so & it is no joke.

When I said that I had plans for Saturday, but that dh & the girls could go without me,she wasn't happy & said that I should go to,or that they could move the party to another weekend to suit me!

Oh ,better go.

She sounds like a nightmare. What is it about MIL's? Okay, not all of them, I suppose. Mine is, as I've recently christened her, a poisonous old cow. I've mentioned her on another thread, about where when left in charge of the kids for a couple of hours she let them play with matches and saws yes really.
