Thinking of proposing..what do i get him????

im thinking of proposing to dp when we go away in feb, trouble is what do i get him?
Would you get a ring or something else, i havent got a clue.
Has anyone else done this and can offer advice?

i could just get him a plain band ring, like a wedding ring style. Just wasnt sure if you buy a man an engagement ring or not, or if you get them anything at all. I suppose no-one sets the rules to say you have to get anything at all do they?

i proposed to my dh and presented him with a ring. it was quite unplanned and i gave him the costume ring i used to wear on my thumb - but he wore it on his wedding finger for ages, until we got married.

If he wears a suit often, you could get him cufflinks or maybe a tie pin? Or a watch?

When my Dp proposed I chose my own ring, it was essential because his taste can be questionable. So I secretly bought the nicest and most expensive watch I could afford at the time. He still wears it daily 8 years later. We both think of it as his engagement ring. He does wear a wedding ring but would not wear any other jewellery.

mmm...im liking the idea of a nice watch, maybe i could get it engraved on the back or something, after he's said yes of course..
