how often does your OH spend an eve with his mates and how often do you with yours?

I am asking this Q whilst about to have a baby any day now (DD 26th), OH is out on the piss for a pre-Christmas night out (although been out at pub since 2pm). Am anxious that I might not be able to get hold of him in an emergency.

Anyway the crux of the questions is; how often does your OH go out independantly of you and your family - for me its at least twice a week, more in summer or when eg World Cup is on etc. I go out once a month although have quite a good circle of friends I see during the day/after school etc. I work part time and have a 5 year old.

I guess I am missing my pre-baby days when I could be out several times a week after work and at weekends and I have changed that lots although I feel my OH carries on in his old ways.

Lets hope my waters dont break tonight ....

Hi, I have a 21mth old and 5mth old and for the last 2-3months I have been going out more in the evenings more than dh! although he does get to go out more during the day on a weekend to go mountain biking.

However, I would not have let my dh go out at all when i was that close to dd and DEFINITELY would not let him drink- even if it is Christmas.

Dh - about once every two or three months

Me - never, in round numbers

But pre-kids neither of us went out much anyway so not much help to you!

I too am pg (no. 4) and as due date nears dh tends to stay very close by and is always in phone contact. Plus when I was pg with ds (no. 3) he didn't drink at all towards the end in case he had to rush me in!

I guess from your post this is your first baby - I think your dh needs a bit of a talking to about due dates and unreliability and basically being "on call" from now on at a moment's notice

This is my 2nd; he's not answering the mobile and he's not in the place he said he was as I have just called there.....am well annoyed he's so lax and quite frankly if he screws me around in the next short while I shall not forgive him. So much for a relaxing Christmas and pregnancy

Both of us go out once a week.

Neither of us drink. We both go out with like minded friends... Me to a pub quiz on a weds and he to a Kareoke on a sunday!

Aren't we exciting! lol

dh every week he plays 5a-side then pub
plays golf about every 6-8 weeks

me I see my friends during the day mostly

My dh is out tonight with his mates too!! he goes out maybe 3 times a year & I do too. although we do go out more together as a huge group, as we tend to be in "couples" iykwim. We are friendly with lots of couples & we try to get out often as a group
