Divorce - when to start dating again?

Just that really.

I'm about to apply for the decree absolute so not yet divorced and we are still living together until the sale of our house goes through.

I'm obviously under a lot of stress and have a lot on my plate but sometimes I feel like throwing caution to the wind and going out and shagging someone. Is this normal?

I've been chatting to a few guys on OLD but haven't as yet posted a pic of myself because I'm not yet divorced.

I think I'm looking for a distraction.

Do I need to calm down or shall I just say "sod it" and go and do it anyway?

Yes, colour that probably sums up how I feel about it all.

Hells, I know what you mean about having younger men find you attractive being an ego boost - when word got out at work that I was getting divorced, I had three offers - two from married men (dirty bastards!) and one from a really fit man 22 years younger! Needless to say I wasn't particularly flattered by the married men's attentions but it was quite nice to have a younger man after me.

Unfortunately both my single friends live miles away otherwise I'd love to go out with them. I must make an effort to make friends with single women but I'm not sure where or how I would meet them. I suppose work is the obvious place but all the women at work are much younger

Pocket, I agree about meeting up in a hotel- far better to do it on mutual territory. Now is probably not the right time but I'm in my early fifties and I can't help wondering how much longer I'm going to be attractive. Hmm
