Poor DH has had no time for himself or hobbies for the last five years and I am at a loss at to what I can get for him. Thought I'd ask what you lot are getting for yours.

am thinking of a facial as he was complaining of blackheads earlier and I KNOW there is no way he'd book one for himself

(have also bought him some stripey socks already and will no doubt succumb to the awful CD he was waxing lyrical about earlier, as long as I can put something legal in with it ensuring that it only ever gets played when I am not at home )

Nothing. We are fairly broke at the moment so we're skipping presents for each other this year and will just try to do something nice for each other (lie-ins, bubble baths etc.) and I might make him a cd of his favourite music.

How about a magazine subscription, CD vouchers (my husbands present of choice!) or books? Or, if you want to go a bit flasher you could do one of those Red Letter Day thingys, motor racing, hot air ballooning etc?

Tommy · 15/12/2006 22:31

just like you elf - no idea what to get him at all - doesn't help that he's just had his birthday!

RosaLuxembourg · 15/12/2006 23:52

So far he is getting two books and the Scissors Sisters CD. He wants a new washbag (exciting, no?) and some work shirts but it is too dispiriting to think about those. I would love to buy him the turntable thing that you plug into your computer to download your vinyl but is £120 so not this time.

joanna4 · 16/12/2006 21:26

We are moving house next year so our budget is token this time I have got him an electronic poker game he will love that I am sure.

DimpledThighs · 16/12/2006 22:51

Quite camp presents but he is quite camp!

TwinklingTinselAndTenaLady · 16/12/2006 23:01

Christmas jumper and a personalised number plate

O DimpledThighs, how I would love a camp DH I'm sure life would be just divine. My DH would like a set of golf clubs, I would much rather pay for pampering and "camp" things.

DetentionGrrrl · 18/12/2006 10:04

Mine's getting a new hoodie, some tshirts, new Converse, a book, some silly fridge magnets, a Damned scarf, and a mug that says 'Punk Rock Daddy'. We had a budget of £100 on each other, so i've done really well i think.

riab · 18/12/2006 19:38

In stocking:
books and CD's from amazon wishlist, vouchers (handmade) saying 'night off from baby' 'night out with mates' 'lie in on sunday' 'back massage' etc etc.

some almond bath bombs and soaps for pampering

mini bottle of wine

and we're buying ourselves a new oven!

deaconblue · 18/12/2006 19:51

WE have £20 budget for stocking stuff. I've bought fusion razor blades (he's too tight to buy decent blades and therefore walks around with blood stained bits of bog roll on neck!!!); pack of carrot seeds and a dibber (it's a thing to poke holes in the earth with) (fancies himself as a gardener);gold coins; Little Britain top trump cards. Hurrah am excited about his pressies!

chaoschaos · 18/12/2006 19:54

chocolateshoes · 18/12/2006 20:17
