Do your DP/DH's like your post baby body?

I instinctively put my hand over my tummy the other day, when DP was tickling me and my tshirt rode up. DP said 'don't be scared of your belly, son's name made that, so you can't not like it'

Made me feel nice about my wrinkly tum, and a bit more confident too.

Are your dp's positive about your bodies post-kids?

Dh is, I however am not. I have far to many clothes in my wardrobe I simplycan't wear. I have decided after the festivities to knuckle down and do something about it.

Lovely thing your dp said btw

frenchconnection · 10/12/2006 11:51

yeah my bod is back to normal after two 10lb babies so im pretty chuffed! nice flat stomach again, yay!

Carmenere · 10/12/2006 11:52

Yes dp seems to be as enthusiastic as ever but like COV I'm not too happy with it.

VersoWassailWassail · 10/12/2006 13:03

I agree with COV and Carmenere. DH is keen as ever, whilst I feel a bit about my tummy and thighs and bottom and arms...aargh! I've never been a twiglet (apart from during a tempestuous adolescent 'not eating' phase ) but I don't like the fact that a lot of my old clothes don't fit atm.

DetentionGrrrl, your DP sounds lovely!

PinkTinsel · 10/12/2006 13:40

same here, dp loves the curves and says me ass is fabulous now but i just can't get to grips with all my clothes being too small and my belly wobbling

WonderCod · 10/12/2006 13:41

ph fgs
how cna you liek it

PinkTinsel · 10/12/2006 13:43

cheers cod

tactful as usual

WonderCod · 10/12/2006 13:44

HEs lying! of course you wer ebetter before you had an 8 lb growth in you

PinkTinsel · 10/12/2006 13:47

actually i don't think i was necessarily better.... i heard the word anorexic alot form my mom and aunt but something in between would be nice.

and i think the issue isn't whether he likes it more or less, just that he likes it, and is sweet enough to make me feel better about myself

GodRestYeMerryNORTHERNERs · 10/12/2006 13:50

My dh really trying to make me feel better about 7 days post partum:

'You look fab, you don't look 9 months pregnant anymore, just 5 months.'

Cue tears from me for the rest of the day.

PinkTinsel · 10/12/2006 13:55

TinsellyRhino · 10/12/2006 14:08

I actually asked dh yesterday how much worse I looked body wise before I got pg this tims compared to when he met me (so after 2 pg's)

he said you looked better, you looked a bit like freak when I met you, too thin and alwasy drunk

I must admit that I agree with him and it made me feel good Gin

TinsellyRhino · 10/12/2006 14:09

I meant not Gin, better than [groin] I guess
