.....a good book on happy marriages/keeping good relationships? I'm getting married next week (my 2nd marriage, DP's 1st), and i'd like as good a head-start as possible seeing as my first one went so catastrophically wrong! Thanks x

Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Think about what went wrong with first one and try not to do same thing(s) again. Also, choose better, but you've already done that.

Dont get married. Then you can never get divorced.

get married. then you have rights if you split up rather than get left with 5 kids, no home and no alimony.

We got The Sixty Minute Marriage by Rob Parsons as a present from friends when we got married. It it very down to earth and nice and short so even DH read it.
Good luck for your big day.

Why Marriages Succeed Or Fail by... ummm... [goes off for a quick Google] John Gottman.
