I haven't worn mine since the day I left. He demanded them back but I've kept them in case our daughter wants them. Hand still feel odd without them (11 mths) and I hate not having rings on, especially with kids, I always feel like old ladies look at my hand and tut Grin
I used to feel just like a pp though-I took them off when he kicked off as yes, it did feel like his hands round my throat and I couldn't bear to have them on. Like he owned me.

isthismylifenow - DS is fine. We talk about things, he sees his Dad and it's all very civil.
It comes out every now and again, he was upset on his birthday last month & said he still gets angry with me. Fair enough. At least he feels he can talk to me about it.

Is the hold up of him moving out financial? I would urge you to seek legal advice, just so you know where you stand.

In middle of divorcing here.

I took mine off the day after stbxh broke the non-mol and amongst others commented on me still wearing the rings as a sign that I was still in love with him and we needed to try again. I'd just carried on wearing them after issuing divorce papers because I hadn't really thought about it but decided I'd better take them off after that.

They're in a box, engagement ring is rather lovely but no way do I want to pass it on to my children. I hope they never ask. It's poisoned as far as I'm concerned now. I do wear a cocktail ring on that hand (middle finger) though, as it felt very bare.

took mine off the day I decided it was definitely over - about 2 weeks after I kicked him out.

Gave him back the eternity ring, sold the wedding ring ...

I took mine off when I found out what he'd been up to as I didn't want to be reminded of our wedding, it all seems like a sham. I finally persuaded him to take his off last week, 4 months later
I'm in the process of ditching his name too

He moved out in the June, having not worn his ring for a while. I didn't take mine off until the March, I didn't feel able. I tried a couple of times but it felt weird. Do it when you're ready.

I sold mine, and when ex was complaining about not having money, I told him to sell his (which he did).

Rings came off as soon as we separated. We've been separated over 2 yrs now, and will probably start divorce proceedings in the spring, once the dcs are past a particularly difficult time for them with medical problems and educational complications.
