Apparently I am "SLIGHTLY CHUNKY"

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 30/11/2006 16:15

but it's alright because he likes the fact that I am 'slightly chunky'

git.

Now I wouldn't say I was thin but I wouldn't say I was slightly chunky either.

arse.

Why are men so stupid?
I'd be tempted to retaliate with, in a few days time 'well it's slightly small. but that's okay with my darling because I like the fact that it's small.' and see how he likes it. But then that is just childish and wrong

WonderCod · 30/11/2006 16:20

god ytou are fat

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 30/11/2006 16:24

I just laughed whilst mumbling to myself about slightly chunky.. I could have said.. he was slightly bald and slightly fat and slightly out of condition but I was too stunned.

I go to the gym 3 times a week and kickbox.. I wear a size 12 and would say I was fairly toned. men eh..

What a f*ckin liberty!

yes, my dp belongs to the same man club
Dear DP
Large breasts (I know) they might be but by saying you love my massive baps, you have consigned them to one day undergo a surgical reduction.
Yaa boo sucks
I have referred to his manhood as usually quite adequate and also said well I would never leave for that reason , as that would be shallow

expatinscotland · 30/11/2006 16:27

And he's slightly arsey.

W/a slightly thin penis.

Instant grounds for ditching if it's only the first few dates.

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 30/11/2006 16:29

lol Piff.. I'm annoyed he caught me too off guard to have a witty and cutting response.

He also grabbed my 'belly' the other day and annonced "I really like your belly" and sort of rubbed it.. he was trying to be nice (I think) - tit!

Sprogstersmum · 30/11/2006 16:48

When I was pregnant my already large boobs were (as with most women) even larger and my DP said "There's such a thing as too large"!!! That was two years ago and I still moan at him for it!

Piffle · 30/11/2006 16:58

well if dp dares grab my belly and profess to adore it's fullness - bearing in mind I'm 5 mths pregnant
his is still nearer full term than mine is...

Piffle · 30/11/2006 16:59

great tip too
for cutting response
if you lost 2 stone darling your penis would look huge!

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 30/11/2006 17:05

ha ha.. actually he could just do with losing two stone from his enormous gut.

Piffle · 30/11/2006 17:06

ditto

MoreEggnogAnyone · 30/11/2006 17:15

My dh's gran once told me "You're not as stocky as you used to be!"

LieselVonTrapp · 30/11/2006 20:54

Well Im "well equipped" in the ass department

Panyanpickle77 · 30/11/2006 21:21

Takes me back to my early days with DH. We'd been "going out" for a couple of months (him 18 me 17 and a skinny bint) when he said
"I love hefty girls" (whilst looking adoringly into my eyes as though reciting shakespear to me!) WTF?????????????? All too suddenly I realised he was talking to me....gutted!

WonderCod · 30/11/2006 21:21

fat face
otyu are fat

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 01/12/2006 08:31

PMSL @ cod.. nothing better than login on first thing in the morning and seeing that, it really made me chuckle

My lover says "Uh-oh. He needs to go back to husband class. And start again at lesson 1."

madamez · 01/12/2006 10:09

Bear in mind that sometimes these poor sods are trying to say that they like your healthy shape better than the terrifying starved stick insects that keep popping up on the telly and in magazines...

lou33 · 01/12/2006 10:27

doesnt matter what they are trying to say, they need to learn to say it properly

joelallie · 01/12/2006 10:42

I think that he sounds as if he was trying to be subtle - but men don't realise that there IS no subtle way of talking about women's weight. But what do you say when your DH is getting too fat? Mine has built a lot of muscle recently - he's huuuge across the shoulders, big chest muscles, strong arms etc...all lovely etc etc...but the bulk doesn't stop at his chest...it continues down to his waist and belly!. He's getting really big - he seems to assume that because he does a physical job and works out that he doesn't need to think about how much/what he eats. I've been struggling to find a nice way of suggesting he could lose a few pounds - he's so pleased with his shape I didn't like to burst his bubble

Actually last week his mate did it for me.... told him he'd 'put on some timber' . So he's promised to lose some weight after christmas...

The whole are is a minefield.

snowleopard · 01/12/2006 10:51

Ha ha - if i put on weight, or moan that I'm feeling fat (usually pre-period) DP says "you're beautiful... I haven't noticed anything - you're not fat - I love you just the way you are".

He repeats this mantra like a frightened rabbit with a panicky look in his eyes - he knows he can't say anything else! a) because it's rude, b) because at PMT time he daren't risk the consequences and c) because he's in no position to comment.

Now I think I actually am slightly chunky but I wouldn't want DP to say so.

Have had much worse in the past. One boyfriend told me my norks were too small for him. I replied that he had a strange barrel-shaped torse and hideous feet, but I loved him anyway. Oddly, he's history.

Have a chocolate.

snowleopard · 01/12/2006 10:52

torso

MascaraOHaraIncredibleSheHulk · 01/12/2006 10:54

lol @ these posts.

I told dp that I had posted on her.. he sort of groaned and asked what you'd all said

so I told him he had a small penis and I could never feel anything.. he said "That's alright babe, I can"

lou33 · 01/12/2006 13:18

tell him that my h told me i was too fat once when i was a size 12 with 4 kids, the youngest just under a year old

we split 3-4 yrs later , my choice

that might wake him up

Wuxiapian · 01/12/2006 13:42

I'm not particlary big, 5'5 and about 9st 12lbs, but my partner tells me he always liked big girls. Grrr!

My best mate, a guy, who is always teling me to put weight on, told me the other day that my legs were fatter than he thought!
He was very pleased about that. I was not!

What can you do with 'em eh?
