Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has found themselves in this position?
Last night my DH found out that his eldest brother was adopted (BIL only found out himself at the weekend - by accident when looking through some documents in his family home). As you'd expect DH is in a state of shock about the fact the this has never even been suspected or thought about before now!
I was just curious to know what happened in your experiences.

Well... I found out suddenly then DH had a brother (well, half brother). Bit of a shock! Not as big as that though... DHs family is a mystery, I find out bit by bit about them!

My BIL worked out a few years back that his dad wasn't his real dad and he had adopted him when he was small. He didn;t have any idea, and his parents refuse to discuss it.

Yes, they do happen. I know a "good one" someone told me but it's way past my bedtime so I'll come back to this tomorrow (i.e. later) if I remember.
