My husband has thrown his wedding ring back at me so many times it felt like it was a boomerang rather than a ring....the last time he did it I said he wouldn't get it back. A year later, after he has filed for divorce - his choice - he has randomly asked for it back 'because it's mine' he said. I have it tucked away upstairs - do I have to give it back? Don't ask me why I want to keep it because I don't know!!!

Throwing his wedding ring at op and leaving and then coming home several times was about control. Do as i say or ill leave! Giving it back says she kept it. It is him trying to control her still. The most sensible thing to do is sell it and tell him she had no idea where it is. He threw it away. It was no longer his at that point: at no point should a woman who is finally free of a controlling husband allow him to get some control. If people would think bad of op for not allowing a controlling ex husband to get control of her again, they are not worth knowing.
