Male friends- just a quick one

Me and DP have been off/on for 7 years we have 2 kids and 1 on way and me and kids have only just moved in with him.

I have had some male friends the entire time DP's known me (school friends). I got a text off DP asking if (let's call him Bob) Bob was at our house this morning. I replied saying yes, he was dropping something off. He then replied "did he kiss you goodbye?" and I told him to grow up.

15 mins later (now) he rings me shouting saying he knows I slept with Bob before we moved in and anyway he wants to talk to me later and if I don't tell him the truth he'll talk to Bob himself. Whaa??

In our 'off' time I did date people but never my friends and certainly not Bob! Part of me wants to say, "why did we used to break up? Because you are the cheat, not me!" But really, since I've made my choice to give him another chance I don't want to bring it up and escalate it.

My questions are, should I just persevere with my friend and not change anything, he is my friend afterall? Should I tell Bob that DP is jealous so should back off a bit? Also, how can I tell DP that I have never broken any promises, I have never slept with my friends and I am 100% trustworthy...(unlike him)? Without bringing up the fact that he's comparing me to his standards.

He is counting on you not arguing.
That way he can get his way.

Tell him you will see Bob when you like. You have nothing to feel guilty about. Does he?

He is NEVER going to change!

Listen, to what he's telling you.
You keep stating he's great, he's a good dad, etc. but really he isn't happy unless he is completely controlling you.

Seriously, you really need to listen to what he is telling you about himself.
As for the cheating twice, !!!!! in between each child. Hasn't cheated in the last three years???? FFS. How many chances does this guy get, and then he has the audacity to challenge you?

He is judging you by his own low standards.

AnyFucker · 04/06/2015 18:52

so you are now on your 3rd whizz about the merry go round with a kid to punctuate each hopeless revolution

he is accusing you of cheating but you don't feel you can call him out on his own skewed perspective ?

This isn't going to work

I suggest you make this 3rd baby your last with him, end it and for God's sake don't conceive any more band aids with this prick

I know I'm a fool I really do but it's where I am and nothing seems to have affected the kids so far.

If he does anything ever again we will move out and he knows this.

When I got home he was immediately on the attack so I didn't bite my tongue I told him not to judge me by his standards etc. He said he can't help feeling worried because of how he's behaved in the past- like I might want revenge or something.

I don't like the jealousy in fact I hate it. If I can manage not to be jealous etc under the circumstances you'd think he would.

Fwiw I know you're all right- I'm not that dim- I'm just dim enough to give him one more chance.

Never mind his past behaviour, his current behaviour sounds like grounds enough to end it.

Bogeyface · 05/06/2015 16:41

He said he can't help feeling worried because of how he's behaved in the past- like I might want revenge or something.

Or he is projecting because he is currently cheating or planning to.

You would not believe how many men do this, probably in an attempt to hid their own cheating, the woman is so busy defending herself that she doesnt spot what he is up to.

Be on the look out, something is happening here.....

I'd shag Bob is I were you - he sounds the better option of the two
