She 5 and her sister is 8.
No matter what shes doing dd1 is telling her shes crap, too slow, too young, too whatever.
And if dd2 is playing with something and dd1 doesnt think shes doing it right shes patronising and really nasty about it.
Ive also caught her growling insults in dd2s face twice this weekend.
Ive just gave her a serious talk about it, but its not going to stop.
DD2 is the opposite. Shares things, is nice, encouraging etc
Sad shes got to put up with that for life

We have similar. Dd1 is scathing to ds1, ds1 is scathing to ds2. Dd2 is still too cute to be scathed at. Idon't think it helps when people are horrid at school - they bring it home with them and do the same

oh no, my dds are 2 and 4. i was so looking forward to them stopping sabotaging each other's games and playing nicely. i thought that would happen in a year or so!

charliecat · 12/11/2006 21:44

I think whats sad is that dd1, instead of sitting playing something else, or doing something else, seems to get up purposelly to be nasty
It really is awful.
It wouldnt matter if she stood watching quielty, but flinging insults is just frigging horrible.
I might try taking 10p off her per insult. Shes very money minded
