This is kind of minor compared to some of the problems on here but it is getting me down a bit. DH is Over-Friendly with absolutely everyone, last week for instance we were walking through the town centre and he told me to wait outside with the kids whilst he went into a game shop and bought a game for them for christmas. It was freezing, the kids were tired and starting to play up and he were stood near a busy road but I agreed and told him to hurry up. Anyway after 20 minutes of standing there like idiots I got annoyed and walked the kids over to the gameshop to find that DH had bought the game when he first went in and was now lent on the counter chatting to the bloke who worked there about something completely different to add insult to injury DH turned to see me stood there looking angry and had the cheek to ask me to take the kids outside saying he "wouldnt be long"!!! I was fuming.
Last night someone came to the door asking if we'd had any injuries blah blah in the past 3 years, any normal person would say no and close the door, DH stood there going on about who he knew that had had accidents, how they claimed, how much they won, the compensation culture, the victims, the winners and THEN told the bloke to call back the next day saying I might want to talk to him when I'm not so busy!!! he was on the doorstep about 20 minutes. The worst one was a few days ago we'd gone to the chippy, stood waiting for our stuff, a bloke made the mistake of asking DH about where he came from (tell-take accent) and that was it, DH rattled on and on about where he was from, how things have changed there, the differences in living here and there, the changes in people...our stuff had been served and the next person served and DH was still rattling on. When I eventually got annoyed enough to walk out the shop I saw DH say a quick goodbye before scurrying out and then everyone in the chipshop rolled their eyes and started laughing! it's so bloody annoying, he makes himself look desperate.
