Candle light and soul forever
A dream of you and me together
Say you believe it, say you believe it

Free your mind of doubt and danger
Be for real, don't be a stranger
We can achieve it, we can achieve it

Come a little bit closer
Baby, get it on, get it on
'Cause tonight is the night when 2 become 1

Sometimes things that seem to good to be true are just good blossom. Try and take tihngs at face value and not look for negatives. Good luck for tomorrow.

jesy · 20/03/2015 15:42

Chinese buffet tonight woohoo

I don't like going to the big town and I can't tell Mr post why but I'm sure hell look after me , just on world's slowest bus after running out of petrol going home this am to get more clothes.

Spoke to mate she sent that bloke a Facebook message thing no reply , I've said move on told her go watch my favourites film eat her favourite cake , even invited her out with me tonight but she wants to be alone

Whatsforsupper · 20/03/2015 17:02

Evening all!

Blossom glad its all going well have a lovely day tomorrow.

Britney He expects you to not meet anyone until you guys meet up? Sorry, I think that is incredibly off.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Me. I've got the flu.

Blossomflowers · 20/03/2015 17:13

whats Flowers hope you feel better soon.

britneyspearscatsuit · 20/03/2015 17:55

Well no, he didn't expect me not to, he just said he wasn't and that he wouldn't like it but couldn't wouldn't stop me if I did. He wasn't demanding about it, he just said he wasn't a multi-dater and enjoyed getting to know one person at a time.

Anyway, I cancelled on him. I explained that the AWOLness combined with cancelled yesterday made me feel he was less than keen.

Didn't turn out well...

Got a response back, he was upset obviously and said if I'd have asked I'd have known he'd has some personal family things going and it was probably his fault for not explaining. He said he also felt we'd gotten very close by text message and Skype without meeting and he was very nervous I wouldn't like him and that he didn't want to stay in such close contact so it helped relieve the pressure but as far as he was concerned he was patiently waiting. He was sorry if he appeared cold and distant but said it was a reflection of nothing because he was as interested as always.

However, not he's very pissed off at me by the sound of it, so we'll see what he says later.

I should have just gone and talked to him face to face.. :(

This is the danger of getting so close over a couple of months without meeting. You sort of start to feel like a couple and everything over text is so easy to misinterpret.

Wouldn't have killed him to send a text to say "sorry, really tied up" or something.

I don't know what he expected me to think

Confused Well, I'm glad I spoke up on it not being ok. If I hear from him now I'll go tomorrow. If I don't, he was a dick.

Newtodating · 20/03/2015 21:59

britney think you've done the right thing, let's see if he makes contact...

As for me-resubscribed to pof last night must have a gluttony for punishment but no one really new or exciting on there may even have looked at the women seeking women tonight out of interest
Have been speaking to 3,2 of which exchanged numbers with the third meant to meet for a drink before work tomorrow but none of them seem 'right'.
Just getting sick of it all tbh - ultimately want to meet my Mr Right but in the meantime I do have womanly needs that need attending to (but no desire to be a slapper). Also just would like a man-hug and companion of the opposite sex to watch a DVD, eat out with etc.

ScrambledEggAndToast · 21/03/2015 07:20

Great to hear from everyone Grin Update from me. My date from last night didn't go ahead, I received a crappy text on Wednesday night saying he had a client Thursday night (he has a second job), then needed to tidy his house tonight before going to Devon today. Whatever, struck off the list Grin

Anyhow onwards and upwards even though I admit I was pretty gutted I have a date this afternoon with a chap I met speed dating. He contacted me last Sunday but I didn't get back to him for a few days as I was unsure due to the fact he's bald. Lack of hair aside, he seems nice so I'll see what happens.

Weird South African man who I went out with a few weeks ago, then I found out had a girlfriend text yesterday. I ignored him. I got asked out by another chap from Match but said no because he said he had just got back from his 4th date with the same person. Not sure what anyone else thinks but multiple daring is fine unless you've had the exclusive chat, but don't talk about it!!

jesy · 21/03/2015 08:18

Well bumped into Mr post ex last night , it was all a bit odd as we'd met before lol

Made me feel a bit insecure to be honest , is that normal.
She was there with a group of mates and don't even live in town, Tbh I recognized the dress before she said it's my name lol

SuperFlyHigh · 21/03/2015 12:10

Scrambled good to hear you've got a date today and struck the other one off the list! Multiple daters are strange like that why tell your current date about them I agree!

jesy perfectly normal to feel insecure about meeting an ex.

newto I get where you're coming from OLD is like that in that it can take a while to meet a nice person.

britney all very strange. Hope uou hear from you but I'd keep wise Rioux's words in mind as it does sound a bit staged.

I've had a chat with POF fireman, he rang and wanted drinks sounds ok.

Had date with apples i think I called him here which was ok pub drinks and pizza. He kept going on about I'm gorgeous, must get asked out a lot but I wanted to settle now didn't i?! He was quite a strong character!

Still exchanging messages with Mr Geek hopefully meeting next week seems to be growing on me.

SuperFlyHigh · 21/03/2015 12:13

lurking good luck on your date.

rasp have a great weekend away - I want one of those! Envy

blossom enjoy your fair date.

I am baking a cake for SILs bday tomorrow then cocktails with friend later then charity walk and lunch for SILs bday tomorrow.

britneyspearscatsuit · 21/03/2015 12:17

Confused still nothing. May have dodged a bullet. He's been an arse. Glad I stood up for myself.

SuperFlyHigh · 21/03/2015 12:25

britney sorry you haven't heard but like you say glad you stood up for yourself and good you feel good about that too! Enjoy the rest of your day. Smile

Lurkingforanswers · 21/03/2015 13:00

Hey everyone and apologies now for anyone I miss Smile

Super Thanks, it'll be good to have a proper date, loking forward to it but not the nerves. It sounds like you have a good weekend planned, as soon as cocktails are mentioned I get excited Grin

Mr Fireman sounds good, hope you manage the date. I'm not sure about apples, not sure I like the sound of him. Hope you get a date arranged with geek next week, happy weekendSmile

Jesy As Super said, bumping into your dp's ex would make anyone uncomfortable and maybe insecure, it'll change in time.

Britney Definitely dodged a bullet there, the guy's playing games.
Not wanting you to date other people is also very off.

Scrambled Good on you for not taking on the bs, cleaning your flat instead of a date? o.k then Hmm Grin Good luck with your date this afternoon, it's good you've met alreadySmile

britneyspearscatsuit · 21/03/2015 13:51

I texted him to say could he let me know and he replied saying to forget it.

Ah well.

Going to lick wounds

xx

jesy · 21/03/2015 13:56

I just didn't expect to feel so insecure,I sort of know one of his exes and sent congrats message on her pregnancy last week but this one I did feel odd about x

Maybe I'm thinking to much, sent him off to football lol I'm doing the good gf thing n making tea lol

Newtodating · 21/03/2015 13:57

britney don't give him a second thought - clearly a waste of your time and his problem not yours.

Lurkingforanswers · 21/03/2015 14:11

Britney There's nothing for you to feel bad, it's the opposite. He tried to play you and you weren't falling for it which is why he doesn't want to meet. He may never have wanted to meet as he may be insecure about himself and just want txt relationship to stroke his ego or perhaps married. You gave him the benefit of the doubt which I would have done. Move on and don't give him a second thought as these things happen.

Jesy I could tell you now that I wouldn't worry about a partners ex because I'm a grown woman and I know an ex is an ex for a reason and that we all fall for different kinds of people. I am also not a jealous type but I bet I would probably react the same at some point as sometimes it's just a natural reaction. What you making for tea? Smile

britneyspearscatsuit · 21/03/2015 14:18

Thanks all of you. Big mistake to invest two months of text and Skype into someone without meeting them x

jesy · 21/03/2015 14:58

Lurking

It's sausage pasta thing that I saw on telly , Mr post been moaning he gained weight since met me as I love to cook.
But has promised me no pie at football, saw his fb earlier his mates taking piss going home to Mrs after match
But one put we taking piss but how many of us going home to a home cooked meal , and a lovely gf erm none of us lol

Think that a compliment in a away

ScrambledEggAndToast · 21/03/2015 14:58

Update from this afternoon's date, just got back. He was very nice and we had a lot to talk about. However, I could sense he was surprised when I mentioned DS so am not expecting to hear from him again. Getting so fed up Sad

ScrambledEggAndToast · 21/03/2015 16:08

Going to assume that this was the brush off text: "It was really nice meeting you. Enjoy the rest of your day x". No mention of a second date. Bloody hell, it's hard as a single parent!!
