mil i see very very little. she lives ten minute drive wy.
sis who lives 130 miles wy, bout once month. but usully on the phone lots nd lots

I suppose it depends on the relationship you have with them.

If you get on with people, you're more likely to make the effort to see them IMO whether or not you're related to them!

we see m & fil every 3 weeks and my parents every 2/3 weeks.we find it works quite well for us as we manage to get a weekend to ourselves every 3 weeks
It does depend on how well you get on, my parents are easier to get along with then my m & fil.

my mum i see daily , she holds my ds while i give him an injection, speak on the phone at least twice aday as well. my sis also lives in our village but has her own hairdressers so only see her to wave to or if i can get her on the phone when "shes not too busy" il have a chat.

my brother lives a mile down the road and i see him on our birthdays to hand a card over and at my sisters at xmas.

We're 125 miles from my mum; we go over about every 3 weeks: but in holidays we stay for longer. Of course she can now come over here again, and is going to in November, which is the first time in several years I think

I would love to live closer to my mum, but it doesn't seem likely atm.

Dh's family live a similar distance, but we probably only see them about once a year

I phone my mum every day though.

My bro is less than 1 mile away, we see him most weeks but it's fairly adhoc - he occasionally comes over for a cuppa/dinner/to provide emergency childcare

One of my cousins lives on the other side of town - we see him every couple of months.

His side I see too bloody often and they do my head in. Mine I see once a week, sister once a yr as she in usa, other sister and bro at big events throughout yr

See my mum every weekend, and sometimes during the week too. See FIL once a month if the kids are lucky, despite the fact they are retired and live an hour away. Not seen BIL/SIL for nearly a year, and this has tended to be the same, even when we have gone through difficult times and perhaps needed a bit of support from them.
