Stayed at my boyfriends last night.. Went to get some clean knickers out of 'my drawer' and found some knickers that I don't think are mine

I have lots, but can't remember this pair!

Not sure how to handle this one!

You have a drawer in his house with a pair of knickers clearly placed in there - ie not hidden. He knew you'd go in the drawer - I'd be more worried if you found them 'hidden' iyswim?

excitedbutscared · 01/01/2015 13:31

Haha wilf, they're clean, but not a brand I buy!

I think this happens a lot this time of year.
Its 'Panty-mine' season.
Still think you should try them on, Cinderella like.

BalloonSlayer · 01/01/2015 14:57

The people who lived in our house before us (before we had DCs) had a little girl.

I found a couple of pairs of toddler girl's knickers down the back of radiators.

If he has had a spring clean might he have waggled his duster behind a radiator?

teapuddles · 01/01/2015 15:48

"waggled his duster behind a radiator" .......love it.

"panty-mine"........oh yes.

This thread has made me laugh in spite of having the flu.

Tobyjugg · 01/01/2015 16:16

When we moved into our first house, we found half a dozen pairs belonging to the woman we bought the house from lurking in the back of the airing cupboard.

He had a spring clean, found them and assumed they were yours.

OK, thinking about it, this reminds me of something similar that happened this Christmas. I go to Cards Galore on way to work. I love the 'To My Gorgeous Wife' card with two penguins on the front in some kind of Edwardian stitching (sounds odd I know but it kind of works), I park it in my mind, to look around. Two days later, I decide I do want that one with the sweet penguin picture after all. So, next morning, trains are late getting in, I dash in to shop, go to that section and see the picture and grab the card.........pay and scuttle off to work.

Get home on the Friday before Christmas. Wrap last present, go to write card. Lovely penguins 'in love' picture....except it says.......'To My Gorgeous Girlfriend'. Same design, different words. Oh f*.....

So, I think I will take it back and get a refund in New Year, leave card on desk in home office. DW finds it on 21st.

She asks me.......I mean why not ask? I tell her. She believes me, end of.
Sometimes there is a simple explanation.

slightly off topic but how can anyone forget their knickers?

you always hear about people being caught out cheating because of a pair of pants turning up. but I just don't understand how you could get dressed and forget to put them on?

SurlyCue · 01/01/2015 16:34

Dont know about cheating situations as have no experience but if you lie with someone or are a regular guest then i suppose you have a few pairs there and dont need to keep track of just one pair as there are spares.

Cheating- perhaps in a rush to get dressed or maybe your partner in crime wanted to keep a pair? Or maybe the pair you left were bough specifically for you to wear and you took off your own to put them on?

SurlyCue · 01/01/2015 16:34

live not lie! Grin

MadeMan · 01/01/2015 16:37

"...but I just don't understand how you could get dressed and forget to put them on?"

Sometimes, when you're running for the drainpipe outside the window it just happens.

SurlyCue · 01/01/2015 16:42

Once, when i was a teenager, exp and i were at it when we heard his front door shut. We both panicked and grabbed our clothes and i bolted for the bathroom to dress- in his trousers Grin

catsofa · 01/01/2015 17:01

"...but I just don't understand how you could get dressed and forget to put them on?"

Spare pants in bag in case of an overnight stay. Pair I am wearing end up in a trouser leg when I get undressed at night. New pair on in the morning, worn pair ejected unnoticed from trouser leg when I put them back on too, off I wander, leaving worn pants wherever they fell when I got dressed.

I once very nearly posted a pair of jeans to someone who had bought them on Ebay from me with a pair of knickers in the leg. They were clean, both jeans and knickers had gone through the machine without dislodging knickers from leg of jeans, but Blush! Only just noticed in time.

MadeMan · 01/01/2015 17:04

"I once very nearly posted a pair of jeans to someone who had bought them on Ebay from me with a pair of knickers in the leg. "

This is the sort of thing that can start a mad bidding war.

Deserttrek · 01/01/2015 17:14

OK, so these pants then, if nobody wants them....can I have them...:D

avocadotoast · 01/01/2015 17:23

DH used to live with some friends of ours who are very definitely a couple. A while after he and I moved in together I went to get some tights out my drawer and found a pair that definitely weren't mine (too expensive for me!). Turns out they belong to our friend.

Point is, these things do surface, and sometimes not for an embarrassingly long time! And you'd have to be really weird to intentionally keep and wash someone's pants after sex...

MrsDiesel · 01/01/2015 17:34

Sounds innocent enough to me. They are clean and in your drawer.

I found a pair of knickers down the side of an ex's bed once, he tried to pass them off as belonging to his previous girlfriend, only problem being he had moved his bed right across the room during the time we were together.

They were indeed his ex's, he was still seeing her and she left them there deliberately for me to find.

Deserttrek · 01/01/2015 17:35

Oh....in that case then.....perhaps I should have/don't want them...

catsofa · 01/01/2015 18:14

OK my knickers are available 99p start or £10.99 Buy It Now plus £1.20 P+P

The seller has listed this item as Used

Eekaman · 01/01/2015 20:52

He's obviously cheating on the OP. What a piece of loathsome shit he must be, pretending to have done a spring clean to create a cover story.

I'll bet he uses porn too, the wanker. And maybe they are his for his posh wank nights?

Either way, OP should take half his savings / pension, shed his clothes and most definitely LTB, change his locks, kick him out his place onto the street, then call the police. And a lawyer.

HNY MN :)

excitedbutscared · 02/01/2015 15:19

Some funny comments here :-)

Haven't mentioned it yet.. going to wait until he is in the bedroom with me then open the drawer and act all surprised and see what his reaction is!

RandomNPC · 02/01/2015 15:23

Not just ANY lawyer, Eekaman, but a SHL Wink

looki · 02/01/2015 15:29

Say he had a one night stand and brought someone home. The following day he found a pair of underwear. Unless he is very unintelligent, he would not assume the knickers were those of his girlfriend and wash and put them in girlfriend's drawer. He would be covering his tracks, disposing of them if he was any way unsure etc.

But your plan to pull them out and act surprised is something I'd do too :).

I recently gave my BIL a novelty gift in front of my sister (his wife) and my DH. We all laughed etc at the joke. Sister asked where I had bought it. I genuinely couldn't remember. Three weeks later, DH mentioned to me that the novelty gift was one given to him by his ex wife! I must have picked it up during a tidy out, thought it was funny and put it away. No wonder I wasn't able to tell my sister where I had bought it!

excitedbutscared · 02/01/2015 15:30

Maybe I should go and buy a pair of men's pants, wash them then put them in HIS drawer..

No, that would be really insane

A girl I worked with was having an affair with a married man and and left her bra behind in his flat "by accident" deliberatelyonpurpose so wife would find it
