help, noisy sex after having a baby

boycey · 09/10/2006 22:44

dh and I have always enjoyed a great sex life but since the birth of our gorgeous baby girl sex is just noisy...from my vagina, 'fart' like sounds (sorry don't mean to offend anyone). We laugh about it but it is embarrassing and off putting to be honest. I am trying pelvic floor exercises but with no great result. Any hints please?

Can vary with position.

Divvy · 09/10/2006 22:49

..and does improve with time And it can tickle the man, which they like...so I am told

hairymclary · 09/10/2006 22:50

Rhubarb · 09/10/2006 22:51

How old is your baby?

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 09/10/2006 22:52

Im doing that like crazy ATM - not even after sex alot of the time Started after DS was born... odd, eh?

MwaHaHappyDaddy · 10/10/2006 10:24

Tell DH that if his willy was bigger there wouldn't room for the air to escape.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 10/10/2006 10:25

ha!

nailpolish · 10/10/2006 10:26

try different positions

doggy is the worst culprit for fanny farts

and lie still for a minute or 2 after deed is done

MwaHaHappyDaddy · 10/10/2006 10:27

Keep doing the pelvic floors

BIGlilBUBU · 10/10/2006 10:33

lol I remember this happening. It used to happen to me whenever I got out of bed. I forgot about that, obviously stops because it doesnt happen to me anymore. Ha ha ha just remembering all the lovely things that come with giving birth..the big nickers, the BIG sanatery towels, the farting thing....the leeky boobs the attractive bf bras...oh just remembered another...breast pads!!!!

NotQuiteCockney · 10/10/2006 11:22

Pelvic floor exercises are good - if you do pilates, you combine pelvic floor exercises with abs work, which (I think?) makes both work better.

If your pelvic floor is otherwise a problem (not enjoying sex, or peeing a bit when you sneeze etc?), then you might want to talk to your GP. You can see a physio, on the NHS, who can help you improve your pelvic floor.

hi all, thanks a mill for all the replies...never used this before so all new to me.
Baby is nine weeks old and a star and I am going to keep going with the pelvic floor exercises....guess I should not be worried about the sounds, after all dh makes much more noise throughout the day and he didn't have to give birth..
thanks again
