Saying the wrong things or is it me?

About 6 months ago I broke up with a guy I had been seeing for a year and a half, mainly because he was extrememly immature.

He has never accepted the fact and about 3 months ago he came around to my house to try and get me to change my mind, it never worked and throughout the visit I kept telling he we were just not right for each other. When we were in the kichen he suddenly asked if I had on a new bra, I said "no, why?" so he chuckled and said "they look massive!" Is it just me or was this an extrememly childish and 'out of place' thing to say? especially considering the circumstances?

Anyway we went into the living room and when I said for the umpteenth time that I think we should just stay friends he said "erm...I don't suppose you fancy one for the road?" in other words will you sleep with me one last time obviously I told him to piss off....

This was the last time I saw him but we have been in contact, he swears to me now that he has changed, he has matured and is getting his life into order, just as I was considering giving him another chance he asked "do you use your valentines present much these days?" (it was a vibrator) .

Is it just me?? Please tell me if I'm being a prude.

Why would you have wanted to stay friends with such an idiot in any event?. Why have you wanted to give him chance after chance?. Look at your own self here for those answers.

Ex's are ex's often for good reason. It is also a good idea in many cases not to have any contact with them at all once a relationship finishes (especially in your circumstances).

Thanks for the reply, so you agree that his comments are reason enough for me to be annoyed about them?

Most certainly!.

He is a twat of the first order.

lulunaticmama · 07/10/2006 10:43

am amazed you stuck it out for 18 months!

clearly thinks with his willy, if he is thinking at all....

it's nice to be desired, but not to be treated like a convenient sex object!

one for the road! and they say romance is dead! change your number and forget him!!! and post back the vibrator and get a lovely new man instead!!

Thanks, thought so

another thing, he went to see "an old friend from uni" last week who is about to travel around the far east...this girl is a lesbian he tells me..."ok" I said... anyway for the few days before and the few days afterward he was OBSESSED with this girl and her lesbianism going on about how he darnt phone her incase she's in bed with her 'friend' and how he'll feel awkward WHEN she starts looking at other women whilst they're out etc....for gods sake.

joelallie · 09/10/2006 13:00

Yuck! Not immature so much as teenage. Does he have acne and a biiig box of Kleenex under his bed ?

MwaHaHappyDaddy · 10/10/2006 10:27

How old is this pratt? Even I wouldn't say those things.

Well not to an ex anyway .

anorak · 10/10/2006 10:30

I can't believe he got you a vibrator for Valentines! How unromantic can you get.

Sounds like you're well rid of him to me. The term 'arrested development' springs to mind. This man has no idea how to make a woman feel valued.

PferPferPumpkinEater · 10/10/2006 11:30

He sounds absolutely adorable, how could you possibly not want to spend the rest of your life with such a considerate young man?
(maybe a hint of sarcasm)

You are well rid Thaigal - IMHO I'd not even stay friends with the wierdo!
