I hope it all works out for you, he has been very silly. Its easy to do silly things when worried about other stuff, its easy to fall into the trap of extending banter into flirting if its a bit ego boosting, but its unforgivable to lie, so lets hope you can both get past it. But stay vigilant and stay true to yourself.
