I have a date and I'm terrified!

I wish I wasn't so nervous Sad
The date is next Friday and I'm scared already!

He seems lovely and I'm worried my nerves will ruin it, I'm going to buy a new outfit though, have my hair cut and go for a few runs the days before in the hope to boost my confidence!

My main worry is that he's really into fitness and I'm a bit overweight and flabby since having my DS.
But I suppose if he doesn't like me because of that I shouldn't care!!

Any first date stories or tips would be good!! Preferably positive ones Wink

lucieloos · 31/10/2014 15:17

Sorry to hear that pickles x

Purplecircle · 31/10/2014 15:19

Bugger that's a shame. I'm a bit worried I've outed myself lol

ProfessorPickles · 31/10/2014 15:31

It isn't exciting bad by the way haha Grin

Just plain bad! Basically he cancelled and now regrets it and wants to rearrange to meet up, his reasons have been genuine and fair so I think I might!

That's not too bad pickles, give him another chance and see if he goes through with it this time. If he makes another excuse then I wouldn't bother with him any further. Have you rearranged yet?

ProfessorPickles · 31/10/2014 20:43

Yeah not too bad, I was a little embarrassed telling my friends and my parents, they felt sorry for me haha Blush

Trying to organise a day now to rearrange. He better be worth the hassle Wink

I'd give him a chance. Men get nerves too. But no more after that.

I once had a bloke cancel 3 times because of his daughter each time. I told him he'd better hope she'll keep him company in his old age cos at that rate he's gonna be a lonely old man....I can't stand being messed about or lied to
For the record I think he wasn't that bothered about me

ProfessorPickles · 01/11/2014 16:34

I'm going to give him one more chance but no more after that!
I have a bad feeling about him now to be honest but who knows I could be wrong about him and go meet him and think he's lovely still!
So we shall see Smile

I will update once we have seen eachother!

Well the date was last night and it went amazingly well! Smile
Although not quite as well as your first date Penelope Wink

He's a genuinely nice person and I'm so pleased I went! With him cancelling before it put a bit of a downer on the idea of meeting him but he was worth it, I've had a lovely evening.
He even asked if I wanted to see him again so happy days Smile

Amazing! I'm so pleased for you. You never know.....

ProfessorPickles · 04/11/2014 00:08

Thank you drum drum Smile
I've been feeling a bit down for the past few days over something else and this has really cheered me up!

Ahh so glad it went well! It's all good practise and if something more comes of it that's brilliant. Smile

ProfessorPickles · 07/11/2014 12:38

We have met up for a second time and it was lovely, he's a proper gentleman so I'm happy, makes a change from my ex's!

We seem to have a lot to talk about and have similar opinions on things, although we are complete opposites in other ways too.

He's shown an interest in seeing me again so things are going well so far Smile
