I "met" this lady a couple of weeks ago, she is American and much older than me. We clicked, we have a lots in common. Have you ever started a friendship the same way as I did ? If yes, did you meet up ?? I was never in this situation ! X

I met 2 great friends on a medical-type forum. We all lived in different countries. When one girl's condition took a dive we arranged a Last Hurrah long weekend for us to all meet and have some fun and shopping - in New York! And it was bloody brilliant 2 years after, the friend died, 3 years after that the other one did I'm left with some fab memories and fotos. No regrets.

One of my best friends here I met on a mutual interest board.She travelled from her city to mine to help me move house and brought a large bottle of bubbly with her. I can't imagine a time when she'll not be in my life
