just below your question was your answer = "knitting socks"

lol!

MrsApronstrings · 16/09/2006 19:46

something large that sparkles

SSSandy · 16/09/2006 19:50

anything that is really selfless is romantic because that's the only thing that really speaks of love if you ask me.

blossom2 · 16/09/2006 19:50

having the wedding i always wanted was pretty romantic (DH agreeing to it).

also DH's present for our first wedding anniversary was amazing...

TheBlonde · 16/09/2006 19:56

tea in bed in the morning

AnelaSunshine · 16/09/2006 19:59

what was that blossom....do spill!

desperate2bmum · 16/09/2006 20:01

romantic for me is a spontanious gesture from dp no matter how big or how small

southeastastra · 16/09/2006 20:03

wow if my dp knitted me some socks, that would be romantic, but slightly worrying

blossom2 · 16/09/2006 20:07

gold charm bracelet with animal charms, each charm is an animal from the chinese zodiac .. an ox for me as it was the animal on the year i was born... he's gotta add another one next year.
hardly ever wear it though.
i know its cringy, but hey ho ...

dinny · 16/09/2006 20:14

ah, that's lovely, Blossom. Most romantic thing dh ever did was walk a mile in the rain to pick me bunch of daffodils to remind me of home when I was at uni. Unprompted, I hasten to add, lol.

dp once txt me randomly in the day with "you're pretty". it made my day!

dinny · 16/09/2006 20:18

UrbanDryad, just thinking about texts made me laugh - I work on TV progs and was at work when dh texted me - I replied but with the words on the soundtrack I was listening to which were "Give us a lick" (context: kid eating ice cream). dh v confused, think he suspected I was having affair and texted him by mistake, lol.

Romance? To me, that's just a machination to sell people things.

theUrbanDryad · 16/09/2006 20:22

oh you're such a cynic!!

(probably right though.....sulk)

charliecat · 16/09/2006 20:25

dinny · 16/09/2006 21:05

An unexpected kiss...

Though once a lovely young man caught up with me to hand me a single perfect white rose and said I was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen - he kissed me and then went... I never saw him again but it will always be a great memory

Jazzi · 16/09/2006 21:07

Anything would be nice, I am officially with the most unromantic man ever!!

dinny · 16/09/2006 21:09

wow, where did he get the ose, wabbit?

I don't know - the florist closest was ages away - I can only imagine he'd been following and plucking up the courage to speak to me for quite some time! It was lovely
