SM I had a scottish mummy. And she'd have said the same to me.

scottishmummy · 14/06/2014 21:58

I hope I'm wrong,I hope he is a good un,with a lively harmless interest in apps

TalisaMaegyr · 14/06/2014 22:03

akaWisey · 14/06/2014 22:06

scottishmummy · 14/06/2014 22:09

Ach thanks TalisaMaegyr and akaWisey
If op were my pal I'd spring into action to support her

akaWisey · 14/06/2014 22:10

But anyway, OP. You'll do what you want we know that and you'll survive if it goes tits up. I'd be out with my mates tonight if it were me. You've a belly-full of MN wisdom to line your stomach. Get your mates round, go out

TalisaMaegyr · 14/06/2014 22:11

I know you would. You're just a bit forthright for some people sometimes. I know you're an alright bird Smile

VirginiaWoofs · 14/06/2014 22:21

Aw thank you all of you! I do appreciate it; every comment! And I have some awesome friends who will be here for me if it does go tits up!

SirRaymondClench · 15/06/2014 00:05

Op you said when you originally had the conversation with your OH about Tinder you both deleted the app.
So how can his profile still be active? Hmm

VirginiaWoofs · 15/06/2014 00:47

Deleting the app doesn't remove the profile. It just deactivates the profile. The profile still shows up in the inbox of people you've matched with, even if you delete the app.

He's looking elsewhere OP whether you choose to acknowledge that or not. For me it would be a dump, I deserve much better scenario. However you choose to try to make excuses there really is none.

Tinks42 · 15/06/2014 01:09

If it does go tits up? He made it go tits up, no you..... dump him.

Itsfab · 15/06/2014 09:19

Maybe he is lining up his next bit of stuff given you are moving out in 4 weeks.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 15/06/2014 10:27

Yes it sounds like he is lining up his next woman because your moving out soon. How charming.

Isetan · 15/06/2014 13:22

He agreed to do something then reneged on the deal and when caught out and challenged, he lied. Focus on this, do not get sidetracked by 'Everybody does it' and 'It's harmless fun'. If he's brazen enought to lie about it, he's brazen enough to blame you for pressuring him into agreeing to do something that he didn't agree with. Stay focused OP, if you choose to stay with this man you'll need to handle this very firmly, as you don't want to start a precendent where he blames you for his choice to lie without experiencing any consequences.

LTB is totally your call and I probably wouldn't have at your age but remember you are not responsible for his decision to lie, your responsibility lies on how much you choose to expose yourself to them.

Enjoy your break.

Haven't read the whole thread but met my ex online and he was still on the site 6months in... You can guess the rest, house, 2 dc's and he was still cheating/ searching online.

I wished I hadn't ignored the early warnings!!!!

scottishmummy · 15/06/2014 18:26

Thats a timely warning mamadigging, are you and the weans ok now?

mammadiggingdeep · 15/06/2014 18:50

Oh yeah...finally had enough of his ea and cheating...ended it over a year ago now. Way too much pride to let it go on any longer.

I just think if they're doing stuff like 'flicking through tinder' after 6 months, they'll be doing a whole lot more 6 years in!!!!!

cuddles5 · 04/08/2014 07:23

@VirginiaWoofs I am in the same situation with someone I love who has told me I'm the only girl they want and said they have not gone on Tinder, but it showed recent activity. How did things turn out? I was wondering if maybe since it's linked with facebook, that when you log onto facebook it updates the last active time on Tinder? I don't know. I just really want to be able to trust what he's telling me. :(
