Do we have any threads/book recommendations about moving on from an abuse relationship?

Not a normal DP/DH relationship, though.

Abuse from friends, in-laws those kinds of relationship.

Any tips?

Or do we just rely on good old time??

You could try the 'stately homes' thread. If by abuse you mean that someone has been routinely bullied by other then it could be worth them talking to a GP and seeing if they can get a referral to a psychotherapist. The biggest adjustments (IMHO) are a) restoring self-esteem/confidence by seeing themselves as a survivor rather than a victim & b) learning how to identify, disable and reject difficult people exhibiting bullying behaviour going forward. CBT can be useful
