How long after giving birth did you wait to DTD?

Our baby is now 10 weeks and we still haven't done it yet. We didn't have sex for probably half of my pregnancy either and although I'm missing the intimacy I don't have much of a sex drive at all at the moment if I'm honest (I'm BF which I've read can affect it too).

Is this normal? How long did you wait? And how the heck do you get the ball rolling again so to speak? The longer I go without the less I want to but I do miss him and love him so would like to start heading in that direction again somehow..

About a year after ds (poor dh ) but 10 weeks after dd. It still feels funny and quite sore (dd is 4 months now) but is improving each time.
BF ds, and am bf'ing dd, so not really feeling like it tbh, but want to for dh!

Mushroom did you have c-sections?!

As soon as my lochia stopped which was about five weeks. Would have been soonerIf it wasn't for the bleeding. I was really up for it on day 10 but didn't feel physically that my fanny could have coped with it.

Since then about once or twice a week.

Each to their own though, like others have said it depends on so many different factors.

About a week after my 2, both natural births

4 weeks. Was missing the intimacy.

3 days

7 weeks with my 1st, lots of stitches and then an infection..

4 weeks after my 2nd, would of been quicker if not for bleeding.

There's 15 months between my 2.

Dc1 - five weeks post cs. I thought the lochia had stopped, it became apparent it hadn't. The (abusive) ex threw a massive tantrum about it, which meant it was one of only a handful of times in the subsequent 2.5 years.

Dc2 - about four weeks post cs, although other things had occurred in the interim!

Dc3 - will see what happens after this one. My body confidence is at an all time low, despite sex drive being as high as usual. Have been referred to physio for dodgy stomach muscle doming effect and my legs resemble two giant columns. If dh has to lift an aprony overhang in order to dtd, it won't be happening!

It was days rather than weeks after all 4 dc I was desperate, I think we both were, as much for the intimacy and not having a huge bump I guess!
