Sociopaths

I watched that programme about Broadmoor and reminded myself of the differences between a psychopath and a sociopath.

I came across this here and my ex had all of these traits except he was violent and enjoyed the suffering of others.
Mthankfully this was a while ago now but isn't it scary when you realise someone you were close to used you like that?

Does an ex of yours or a family member fit most of these traits?

Thank goodness my fiancé is the complete opposite.

Labels are interesting and human behaviour is fascinating but I think the 'test' always has to be whether someone is acting reasonably, treating us reasonably and treating others reasonably rather than wasting time trying to work out which, if any, psychological disorder or mental illness they are displaying. We have two choices really... reject or accept. Leave the analysis & treatment for the health professionals. It's quicker.

Very true.

But a combination of these behaviours definitely isn't treating someone right.

As it's somewhat of a psychological disorder I'd say labelling is only natural.

In general sociopathy can be treated better than osychopathic behaviour.

I do agree labelling can be troublesome but we all are a label.

I was just interested if anyone knew someone with these extreme destructive/antisocial traits too .
