Shit, shit, shit. What the fuck am i supposed to do.If i am pregnant for definate i will have t
to get an abortion. My life is crap right now and i know i wont be able to cope.

TumbleweedOnspeed · 04/06/2014 14:25

My life was probably crapper and I wasn't even vaguely maternal to boot, and convinced I couldn't cope, I went ahead and had the baby anyway (not that termination was an option for me). It's been the best thing that's ever happened to me. it was 'meant to be'.

Good luck.

dustarr73 · 04/06/2014 14:29

If i am pregnant it would be my 6th baby.Youngest is starting playschool in September. My relationship is crap i just think how i could be so stupid.

Cant even take a test till tomorrow as i have stuff going on today.Talk about bad timing.

AngelsInWinter · 04/06/2014 15:25

Oh dustarr :(

Why would it be crap timing?

dustarr73 · 04/06/2014 20:34

I dont want any more kids.I do a test tomorrow and find out one way or another.

Try to take a few deep breaths and a moment then focus on what you can do.

If you are pregnant and you know for sure you do not want it then get the ball rolling as soon as you can for a termination.

If you are not pregnant use this as a start to getting things sorted.

Is your relationship beyond repair or just in a bad place right now but can be resolved? If beyond repair start to slowly sort out what you can do to end it for the best. If fixable then start the slow steps to fixing it.

September is a few months away can you use that as a time scale to start to get things rolling?

What else is crap that you can try and break down into small chunks to deal with?

I hope that doesn't sound patronising.

Tumbleweed

(not that termination was an option for me).

Don't be so smug - the OP has said that she thinks that she will have to terminate - so why did you say that?

HaveYouHeardOfGoogle · 04/06/2014 22:46

She could live somewhere like Ireland where terminations aren't an option.

OurMiracle1106 · 04/06/2014 22:51

Or been too far gone when she found out she was pregnant to terminate

Unexpected · 04/06/2014 22:56

Or it may have been against her religious beliefs.

HaveYouHeardOfGoogle · 04/06/2014 22:57

Or religious reasons...actually could be for many reasons so maybe best not to jump to conclusions calling people smug.

StarGazeyPond · 04/06/2014 22:59

But surely it is the last thing a person in OP's position actually needs to hear?

Unexpected · 04/06/2014 23:15

I don't think Tumbleweed was in the least bit smug, she recounted factually her experience with an unexpected pregnancy. There isn't even a hint of a suggestion that she thinks termination is wrong.

JennyZ1 · 04/06/2014 23:33

So how are you doing? If you are pregnant, consider giving it up for adoption. Make someone elses life a joy!

Cabrinha · 04/06/2014 23:39

Bloody hell, does anyone actually do that any more?!

OP, best of luck to you. Fingers crossed you find out tonorrow that you're not pregnant. Plenty of support on here if you are but decide not to progress.

TumbleweedOnspeed · 05/06/2014 00:54

Stargazey You're entitled to your own opinion. But I'll have to correct you on the 'smug' accusation this time.

dustarr73 · 05/06/2014 06:35

Im in Ireland,if i am it will have to be termination.I wouldnt be able to carry for 9 months and give it up.
I do a test today and let you know. You have been very kind.Thank you.

OP posts:
dustarr73 · 05/06/2014 11:43

I done a test and it came back negative.Thank you for all the support.

hellsbellsmelons · 05/06/2014 11:49

What a relief.
Do a 2nd test just to make sure.

Then you can tackle the elephant in the room.
And... How do you eat an elephant?
Once bite a time.

Just look at things.
Prioritise and tackle.

Good luck with everything. I hope things look better in a few months time.
