Just seen a bloke grab his girlfriend/partner/wife by the face and shove her backwards :( DH had picked me up for a quick birthday lunch at home and I was watching as it looked like he was having a proper go at her, as soon as he touched her both DH and I were out of the car like it was on fire telling him to take his hands off her etc ... she walked off one way him the other ... I just feel so sad for her, if he is like that in public god only knows how bad he is at home :(

Not really posting for any reason just wondering what, if anything else I/we could do ...

You have done all you can do in the circumstances and well done to you both for intervening. Hopefully she has taken some steps to eradicate this bloke from her life but sometimes women face endless abuse before they take or are able to take steps to get out of abusive relationships. It's wretched to watch though.

Well done intervening and you could certainly have called the police. Still could, in fact. If the incident was captured on CCTV they might still investigate.

Thanks both :)

Hoping she'll take steps to LTB but I won't be holding my breath Hmm
