I am still dealing with the fall out from DDs father, he is court ordered indirect contact only as he is so emotionally abusive (long story)

Making this into a more lighthearted thread what was the most Dickish thing your XP said to you that you look back now and say WTF!

Mine was -

"I reserve the right to call you a fucking bitch if you deserve it" - that should have been the final nail in the coffin, but he managed to hammer in a few more before I'd had enough.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh!

When mine was caught out online dating, after a 20yr marriage, he said the reason he signed up for it was because 'I wouldn't go owl-watching with him one night'. Go figure...

I was planning a night out while ex dp looked on in disgust. I asked why he was so angry and he said I really need to choose between him and having friends

I chose my friends! Go me! Had a fantastic few years after leaving that loser!

One of the more memorable 'reasons' I was given for him leaving the marriage was that he 'didn't like the way I dried my hair'...

"You've not got as many rights as anyone else in the family, you're a Mum now!"

When asked to take three year old ds out so I could get some rest with newborn dd.

"Poor ds how's he going to feel knowing you've shoved him out so you can concentrate on your NEW baby, he's going to think you don't give a fuck about him! Poor kid."

He just didn't want to take him out because he was a lazy arse. 8 years on I still seethe when I think of him saying that.

"Yes, I understand you liked him, but can we change the record please?" on the subject of my grandfather, a week after he died.

My husband said 2 days after my Dad died "Can we get back to normal now" Wtf.

2 days after my oldest friend killed herself 'You need help. You should be okay by now.'

Maras I'm good thanks. Owl-man re-married v quickly announced before the divorce and I have new DP who seems relatively lovely and normal :)

I've NCed for this but I have a few:
One Christmas he got in a massive strop and said it was ruined because the children weren't excited 'in the right way'

As he got angrier and angrier, shouting at me he always used to say 'calm down' repeatedly to me, even though I was usually stood there saying and doing nothing.

This next one shows what an utter dick he was: about 8 months after DS was born I got a Bartholin's Cyst. It was horrendous, about the size of an egg. His reaction? 'Youre so selfish, I can't believe you're making so much of a fuss about this. How long will it be before we can have sex again?'

Needless to say, the answer to that was 'never'!
