I get the basic gist that I spot someone I like the look of, check that I fit mostly into the criteria they are looking for and get in touch, right?
Can any of you who have been on there a while or have been successful give me some hints? Does not replying to an email =no thanks? (I assume yes because that's what I do in response to emails from people whom I just plain don't fancy and can't imagine myself ever snogging)
My problem is that I'm looking at blokes my age and they are all bald. And look really old! I'm only 39 but it seems blokes my age are looking for women of 30? How can that be right?

Is there any way of filtering out winks from blokes 20 years older than me (already got my age parameters set but it seems they can't read)

Ignore anything from anyone you absolutely aren't interested in.
Take the initiative and email the ones you like the look of!
Listen to your gut and decide what doesn't sit quite "right" with you. For example, it's an instant red flag if a bloke wants my number straight away, or sends an opening message of "heyyyyyyyyyyy sexxyyyyy" etc.

The men who say they are your age are probably lying about it to conceal the fact they are closer to 50!

Don't believe anything until it happens. And if they spend ages texting you all the time telling you how amazing you are, they're 99.9% likely to do a vanishing act within the month.

I've had loads of interest, 2/3 winks a day, and usually at least one message, but usually along the lines of "hey babe, you my dream girl"
Sadly there isn't a vomiting into a bucket smiley on my mobile or I'd be using it. Oh and the text speak! Please no text speak it makes my eyes bleed.

Sadly most of the interest has been from men at least 15 years older than me. I'm 38 and have a max age of 45, I'm not that rigid on the age front, but I've had a 67 year old man wink at me today. Yikes

At some point I'm going to embark on online dating and I'm SCARED!!! 80% scared and 20% interested, as I do like meeting new folk. But mainly scared!

It is scary! I'm just telling myself they can't see me!
