Wasn't sure what to title this. Basically I would like to get your opinions on the following things as I'm always arguing with myself as to what's right...

Surnames - do you ask before you meet? How? I always feel awkward?

Your address - I really don't like giving my address out at all until weeks / mouths down the line but also feel I've got opposing double standards as I like to know where a guy lives. When do you give your address out / let a new date pick you up from your home?

Suppose this is all trust issues and a lot depends on the person but would love to hear your views

I wouldn't give anyone my full name or address. Unfortunately my first name is unusual so they could find it anyway. I'd tell someone what town I'm from but they don't need to know more than that. I think after long enough (like, months) full name and address would feel natural.

Back in my dating days I would give my 1st name only. I don't recall ever being asked what my surname is, though. I suppose it may depend where you are but Im in London, there's no need for a man to pick you up from your home. Even if not driving, the transport system is good. If I lived somewhere without good transport & cab links Id have a car. Letting a man see/visit where I live at an early stage would make me uncomfortable. I wouldnt go to his either. Courtship/dating 1st.

You don't need to swap addresses for the first date - just keep it to a public place.
