Mothers Day

How would you feel? DH gave me a present with bits and bobs of chocolate bath bombs from lush and a tube of hand creme from molton brown. He knows I love MB. However when we went to his mums later in the day he gave his mum a huge Molten Brown gift box. Am I being churlish in comparing gifts? Thanks

I think this is why I now loathe mothers day. It has become so commercial, competitive and unhappy.

What?! So the mother of his children, the woman who went throught pregnancy and birth so he gets his "I am a father" badge, deserves less than his mum?

They deserve the same at least surely? I am shocked that it isnt obvious to anyone that he clearly views his own mother as more worthy and deserving that his childrens mother!

I don't think it's fair to refer an OP to other posts to make them put things into perspective. It's quite judgemental IMO.

I have read those other threads and some are heartbreaking - but bangles is feeling a little upset by her DH's actions.

OP has posted here asking how others would feel, you can be less direct in responses.

bangles - write it off or speak to your DH and explain how you feel. You could always treat yourself to a big box of MB as I'm sure it will all be reduced from Monday

FWIW, I think MB smells lovely!
